We were recommended to go to Brunello's from our new neighbours who have visited before I suppose but our dinning experience was nothing we expected it to be,especially not at those prices. Place was not too crowded for a friday night,we were seated promptly and ordered our martini's that took a long while to get to our table.
We were hungry and ordered shortly after that. Food was tasty but poorly presented and lacked vision. My lentil soup tasted and it probably was out of a can, everything in it was just too uniformed to be home made.It reminded me of an italian eatery rather than restaurant charging such high prices. My boyfriend's arugola salad was very good. Our mains were chicken and lamb. My chicken was very uninspiring and tasteless,my boyfriends lamb was good but too salty for my taste and presented poorly.
Overall experience was mediocre at best, they are charging very high prices for what you get and that includes way overpriced wines, some even more than at several downtown Toronto restaurants we frequent. Our dinner was 230$ + tip and we most certainly are not in any rush to go back. Much better options in the village.
