I had lunch at the Huron Club after a morning walk around scenic caves and while waiting for the Greyhound to take me back to Toronto. I was trying to get into Tesoro but they are not open for Sunday lunch, and I am glad of that because otherwise I wouldn't have discovered this little gem!
I sat in the lounge where the atmosphere was very friendly, I felt as though I was in my local! There was jazz music playing in the background and I was completely relaxed and happy to sit there for a few hours having a drink or two! My server was wonderful, very friendly and he made me feel completely at ease. As a solo traveller it is often difficult to feel relaxed in a bar/lounge but The Huron Club delivers great music and a friendly atmosphere to all. As far as the food goes, I had the home made clam chowder to start with which I couldnt fault at all. I then had the pulled pork tacos for main. The rice was dried out but the tacos themselves were awesome.
I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys live music, a good atmosphere and good food.
They also serve Mill St Organic, big thumbs up!!
