I have never wrote a review on Tripadvisor but after my stay at Beild House I had to. My mom & her friends have been going to Beild House for years & she has raved about it since her first visit. She & I booked a stay in late September for our birthdays & because I have never stayed at a B&B before I wasn't sure what to expect...let me tell you it beyond exceeded my expectations.
Where to begin. The Inn is simply beautiful. It's warm & cozy with charming unique rooms. A main dinning area where everyone eats together. The living room has couches that you melt into...a great place to curl up for tea & a good book. There is a room with movies & games and you can always help yourself to cold drinks, fruit & coffee/tea.
The staff...I cannot rave enough. I met Stephanie as soon as we got there and she is a wonderful woman. She immediately makes you feel right at home. We sat in the living room & chatted. She was so friendly & hilarious, with lots of great stories to tell. I met her husband Bill the following morning & he was just as lovely. Our main host Shane was fantastic & will have you laughing all the time. He was always looking after us, making sure we had everything we needed. After dinner he even brought my mom & I out chocolate covered strawberries with a candle in them for our birthdays. I met Wendy at breakfast the next morning & she was so sweet & accommodating. Besides cooking an amazing dinner our chef Terri even came out afterwards to make sure we enjoyed everything & chatted with us. I cannot say enough about the staff, they made our stay.
On to the food. Amazing! We had tea at 4pm with a plate full of assorted treats...all of which were delicious. Around 6pm were appetizers, two delicious warm dips and crackers with brie & homemade jam. For dinner I chose the crab spring rolls & my mom had the coconut curry chicken...we couldn't resist trying each others they were both so good. For dinner I chose the chicken cordon bleu...very generous portion and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My mom had the beef tenderloin which she loved and of course after trying I agreed. We finished up with the mini banana splits & we were pleasantly stuffed. Still shortbread cookies and tea or coffee came....believe me you will be in heaven. My mom has tried practically everything on the menu & she says she has never had anything she didn't like. Bill made breakfast the next morning & we were treated to delicious waffles, the biggest freshest croissants you've ever eaten & fresh orange juice.
In addition to the amazing food & staff we also had massages at the Inn. You will not be disappointed. It was definitely the best massage I've ever had. Erin our masseuse was so friendly and puts you right at ease. I didn't want to get off the table afterwards. Stephanie also recommended La Scandanave Spa...trust me, book this and make sure you have at least 3 hours. There are outdoor hot baths & cold plunge pools both with waterfalls, saunas & a eucalyptus steam room. This place is the ultimate place to relax. Collingwood is beautiful & we also got to walk around downtown & do a little shopping.
Our stay could not have been any better. I truly cannot imagine how anyone could have a bad stay here....I literally did not want to leave. I am already planning to return to Beild House in January with about 20 other girls for the PJ club & I can't wait.
