“Very clean and great management”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

We stayed here for 2 nights in the first week of July. We had an opportunity to interact with the owner Jack Patel who runs this place. The rooms were very clean and well maintained and Jack is very welcoming and pays great attention to detail to ensure that guest have a good experience.

Skinny parking spaces but the Desk clerk offered his personal reserved space or a private space around back which I appreciated greatly. Within walking distance of downtown but on the quieter side. This hotel seems brand new including all surfaces and decor. The bed was a bit on the firm side which bothered my partner all night, then bothered me all day ;-) Great wifi signal, very clean, very affordable, awesome staff... what's not to love? Oh, I missed breakfast! It's only til 9:30 am so if you sleep in you'll miss it. The breakfast room however is large & clean. Kudos to the staff & management for offering such a pleasant stay at a very affordable price. Best wishes!

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are quieter. If you can't do stairs stay on the first floor.

We stayed here for two nights for a ball tournament in Huntsville. The girl on the front desk wasn't overly friendly but efficiently checked us in. Unfortunately if you have a first floor room on the back side of the hotel the window opens up to an alley/bushes/trees which makes for a dark cave-like room.
The room was clean and the fridge in the room was very cold. The hotel was full but it wasn't loud at all.
The gentleman on the desk at checkout was friendly and helpful.
It is a quick walk downtown and we strongly recommend "That Little Place by the Lights" for some truly stellar pasta.

Room Tip: Choose a second floor room for more light.

I had a reservation here on my way to Algonquin Park. Was immediately depressed by the shabby exterior. OK, I arrived at 2:15, but the girl at the desk not only did not know how to check me but didn't know how to reach the desk manager. Another party was there in the same situation. Left and came back at 3:00, still nobody there but a "back later" sign at the desk and another group of lost-looking potential guests. I left a note canceling my reservation and found another place. I then got a very unpleasant call from the manager who said she would charge me anyhow because I had canceled less than 24 hours before the night of the reservation. I ended up saying, "fine, but be sure to cancel my reservation for a week later."

This is a nice clean, recently renovated Econo Lodge. The staff were friendly and efficient. I rated it 4 stars but this is a 2 or 3 star hotel. Very good for the cost and recommended if economy is a priority.

We stayed in the Econo Lodge in Huntsville Ontario this past weekend June 21. It is not fancy or anything special but our room was spotless and the girl at the desk was very friendly and polite. It had everything we needed for the one night stay. If we return we would probably stay there again, and the price was reasonable.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

I recently visited relatives in Huntsville and stayed at Econo Lodge. It was centrally located and convenient for our visit. The rooms were modern and the bed (king-size) was very comfortable. This is a great hotel for it's price range. Rooms have obviously been recently updated and are well equipped, very clean, free Wi-Fi, very comfortable bed, staff were very friendly, breakfast is good and has all the basics covered.
