We had a wonderful day of fun at Arrowhead. We were warned ahead of time that the park didn't have much in the way of food for sale so we arrived with sandwiches and drinks we picked up at the supermarket in town.
We started off with some skating on the skating trail. I have never skated through the woods before so it was great fun experience. The ice was a bit choppy in spots but still very skatable. The main loop is about 1km in length. A few times around and we were ready for lunch. The park has a public campfire going just off a secondary path. We enjoyed a sandwich and drink by the warm fire.
We then switched from skates to snowshoes and traipsed alone the Stubbs Falls trail. It's a relatively easy trail and a good length for following the skating.
After snowshoeing, we made our way back to the entrance where the snow tubing hill was located. The tubing hill was very busy but everybody cooperated taking turns. It's a fun slide down the hill but the climb back up is a lot of work. There is also a campfire set up next to the tubing hill. We finished off our sandwiches there and left very satisfied with our experience.
