Went skating on Arrowheads new 1.3 km skating trail last night. We were lucky to be in Muskoka for one of their night skates. The whole trail was lit up with tiki torches! It was beautiful.
The ice surface was pretty good and they even have a zamboni.
It was quite busy around the area where you put on your skates but the trail it self wasn't too bad. There is a fire set up about midway along the trail for everyone to use, and you can even rent campsites along the trail for the day/evening for your groups own little hang out area.
I believe there will be two more evening skate nights this year (sat and sun of Family Day weekend). Let's hope the park expands these night skates next year!
You can also skate during the day (closes 5:30) which would be lots of fun too. :)
