“Nice casual spot. NIce gluten free choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

Very casual. Home cooked food. I love the fact that they have gluten free pasta and pizza options. I found that the quality of the ingredients was high. Service casual and efficient. I will go back...

“Nice find in little Huntsville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

We hit up this little gem based on the reviews on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. We were up in Huntsville for the weekend and hit the place on a Friday evening, It was a bit busy when we got there and waited about half hour for a table as advised by the person who took our name down.

The service wasn't 100% but was still fairly good given that the place was so busy. We were addressed when we got there, orders were taken within a reasonable amount of time as was the delivery of the food.

The food was delicious. My daughter loved the spaghetti and giant meatballs. The pasta noodles were fantastic. Not sure if they make it fresh but it made our pasta dishes that much better. The portions were big enough that all four of us had to doggie bag the rest. Best part was the price. Great value for the great meals. We were so pleased, we ordered a pizza to go as snack for later.

“A solid four, That little place delivers flavour though at a price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

That Little Place by the Lights is simply put delicious! Very flavourful and you definitely tell that everything is made from scratch. Unfortunately, "from scratch" also means that it costs quite a bit of scratch! You don't mind paying a bit extra for fresh stuff, but it did seem a bit excessive here. For $5.40, a Caesar salad was deliciously constructed. However, it seemed on the small side for $5.40. It's more of a vinaigrette Caesar than a creamy Caesar by the way. It was good, but you felt that is was small. The meal did come with bread and some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Very good olive oil, the slight burn of the olive oil at the back of your throat tells you that there are some antioxidants at work. The main course was "Annie's" Lasagne. For $13.25, you get a 4"X3" slice of lasagne that is not the thickest, just a normal slice of lasagne. It's pure heaven in a slice, so rich and creamy with a delicious bolognese sauce that complimented the richness of the cheese. However, for $13.25 you kind of want a slice of garlic toast or something else to make it more of a meal. It just seems pricey, for what you get, that's all I'm saying. Everything is delicious, you just want a little extra for what is given. The service was friendly and quick. Refills on water were there, checking up on the meal was done. Solid service. I enjoyed the local artisan flare in the log cabin feel of the restaurant. You feel That Little Place by the Lights is part of the Huntsville community and is proud of it! If you are going through cottage country and are hankering for some solid Italian fare, though costly, you will enjoy yourself at That Little Place by the Lights.

“Third time lucky...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

We tried to go to this restaurant on a Sunday and found out it was closed....we headed down for a second try on Monday only to find it closed again....finally on Thursday we found it open. Apparently in the winter it only serves dinner Wed-Sat. It was worth the wait....great focaccia and oil and caesar salad to start. I had the pizza of the day which was kale, caramelized onions and pancetta....very good and my husband had the linguine puttanesca which was awesome.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014 via mobile

We have walked past this place numerous times and always say...we try it...well today we did and we're so glad! Staff was very courteous and attentive. We were VERY excited to here that we could have any pasta dish or pizza GLUTEN FREE! As well as most sandwiches! I had a small gluten free margarita pizza and a house salad. My husband had the special penne of the day also gluten free. Everything was excellent! We will definitely go back!
