We have returned to this restaurant and are never ever disappointed. For good reason, our son proposed to his wife here seven years ago. As always the food is outstanding. We begin with salads: mine is a deconstructed beet salad with candied nuts, blue cheese and combined oils. Each mouthful is so fresh that I want this taste to go on forever so I savour slowly. My husband has the special salad which is a combined shredded turkey, cornbread, cranberry concoction that celebrates Thanksgiving in a very unusual but tasty way. Our mains are duck breast in plum compote and cocoa with various vegetables. The mixture of tastes cohalesce perfectly. The desert we share is a 12 layer chocolate praline torte and it is a perfect ending to the meal. Beside beautiful presentation and interesting combinations, it is the absolute freshness of the food that suggests it has been harvested so closely to preparation time that makes this restaurant such a treat.The rooms that overlook the garden and the decor also enhance the meal.
