We were in Kitchener for a concert and The Walper was recommended to us. From the start we found the staff to be cold and stiff and not helpful. They didn't seem to care about us at all and barely paid attention to questions. Actually gave us wrong information about the location of the concert and local restaurants.
The room bed and pillow could have been better quality. The heating/air conditioner in the window was noisy and inadequate. Could only have it boiling or freezing. There was no hot water on our check-in day and the front desk didn't bother to call us back when we called to let them know.
All in all we did like the vibe of the place and would give it another chance.
