I've stayed at many hotels and I've never had such a bad experience as this one!!! I asked for a room with a fridge for milk and antibiotics and was told that I'd have to pay extra even though it was confirmed on the phone. I needed a microwave to heat my sons bottles and the ktichen that I was supposed to have access to was not allowing anyone in. I did get upgraded to a room with both a fridge and microwave but was forced to pay extra. OK in the end that wasn't bad for the convinience, I guess. The hotel parking was said to be "secure" according to hotel staff. They said the patrol 2X every hour! I stayed there for 2.5 days and there was nothing secure about this. There were no camera's and no patrols. The only thing was a flimsy gate that you needed a code to get in but it was all highly visible and almost totally open so that anyone could walk in. The exit door was pressure sensitive and didn't require any key or pass therefore anyone can drive away with your vehicule. I'm just glad that I only got my electronics stolen and not my whole vehicule. They claim it's an isolated incident yet there were 4-5 other parking spaces littered with vehicule glass. They are just around the corner from a homeless shelter and there was always drunks and druggies hanging out across the street. I should have taken that as my cue to leave but with two tired kids, I just wanted to rest. Lesson learnt! The hotel did nothing to resolve our theft. The police were "too busy" to even come by and take a report. This is a fine place to stay if you don't bring your own automobile. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The rooms facing Benton street are a bit scary since they have a patio door but there is plexiglass half way up so no one can fall out. Just a little intimidating. Especially if you're afraid of heights!

A bit pricey for what you get, but staff treat you very well-which was the highlight. Might be worth upgrading the bedding, as we found it hard to sleep with the really soft pillows and lesser quality sheets.

Definately also check out the Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge, it is small but very beautiful. (There is also a hotel package that includes this).

Some of the recreation centre is a bit dated, and the pool is in the centre of everything so it seems a bit oddly placed.

Breakfast buffet was quite tasty and good value, but better to get there early when things are still hot/fresh.

We stayed at the Delta Kitchener for 1 night. We were 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 12. The hotel is very easy to find from mapquest.
Check in was very fast and courteous. The front desk and all the staff that work at the Delta were very pleasant and eager to answer any questions.
We stayed in a premier room with 2 queen size beds, fridge microwave and bath/shower combo (a little dated) for 129.00can. excluding tax. There was also a coffeemaker with coffee, sugar..and in the bathroom they supplied traveler size shamp,cond,soap.. We were in the newer section in the Tower. This section looks nicer.
Now the beds are just AMAZING. They are new and sooo comfortable, beats my bed at home. Theres extra comfy pillows and duvets, great touch.
The pool area is quite big and you can check out towels at the desk in the lower area. The surprise the other reviewer was referring to that had my curiosity peeked is that there is a 20 person jacuzzi in the lower area. Theres also a games room with pinball machines, video games, ping pong, a mini-putt ($2.00 pp), a two lane bowling area ($5.00 pp), gym, and also from the lower area you can look through windows and see people swimming in the pool up above. Just like Marineland ha ha.
We also ate at their restaurant Botanicles. Good food and they have a children's menu. The chef actually came out to ask how our food was, nice touch Delta.
Parking can be outside or covered with a security code needed to get in.
We had no problem with the maze thing? We got around just fine. If you are going soon bring your skates because about 10min. away (if that) theres an outdoor mini rink cleaned by a zamboni, real neat.
All in all a great place to stay. The Delta is right downtown and walking distance to alot of things and if you don't want to venture out you really don't have to.

We stayed only one night - we had booked 2 but due to an emergency had to leave after only 1 night. What can I say the hotel is nice - it is undergoing renovation so a lot of construction around - but we were advised of this well in advance. I have a relative that works there so she was able to get us a great rate. I don't want to fault the hotel, but it is quite a confusing array of hallways, stairways and elevators. It is a rather big hotel, but somehow seems disjointed and made it hard to find your way around, that is about the only downside to the place, until you get used to it - it is confusing. The staff were friendly but they could use an on-call bellhop (we had to shift our own bags when we got there using the baggage cart etc.). In any case, it's good for the money - nice pool and health centre area. The breakfast buffet was quite good also. I would recommend this, but be prepared for the MAZE.

I booked the African Lion Safari package. We arrived around 6:00 pm and found very clean rooms. We then went to the swimming pool (Where one of my kids learned to swim without floaties that day)! The pool was nice and clean and warm enough to stay in for hours. The pool has a special suprize that all kids and adults will like (I'll save that for you to find when you get there). We then ate dinner in the on site Botanical Restaurant, which carried a higher price tag than Macdonalds, but tasted much much better. The kids vegetable side was carrot and cerlerly sticks which they finished before digging into thier main dish. Kids 6 and under eat free. Service was also top notch! We then headed to the recreation center and played a game of miniture golf! My kids loved that. There was also two bowling lanes (booked for the night), ping pong, pool table, arcade games, and exercise equipment/weight room. We ended up getting a decent nights sleep and ate breakfast again at the Botonical. They had all you can eat buffet that once again really hit the spot. Breakfast was served until 11:00 am! Checked out after breakfast and was on my way to African Lion Safari (Which was lots of fun as well).

Highlights:
Rec. center/Pool open until 11:00 pm!
Elegant Feel To Hotel.
Botanical Restaurant on site.
A few surprizes!
Bed comfortable and was a good nights sleep.

Cons:
Lots of kids running around when I visited (Summer Weekend).
Hotel room was upgraded without anyone asking me permission which also carried a $10 increase in cost, but I did not complain since I was very happy with my stay and it's cost.
Table staff is nowheres to be found when it comes time to pay at the Botanical (happened on both visits).
Bed Sheets wrinkled while sleeping (happens at almost all hotels).
Woke up with soar throat in the morning (Not sure if related to hotel or not).
