I've stayed at many hotels and I've never had such a bad experience as this one!!! I asked for a room with a fridge for milk and antibiotics and was told that I'd have to pay extra even though it was confirmed on the phone. I needed a microwave to heat my sons bottles and the ktichen that I was supposed to have access to was not allowing anyone in. I did get upgraded to a room with both a fridge and microwave but was forced to pay extra. OK in the end that wasn't bad for the convinience, I guess. The hotel parking was said to be "secure" according to hotel staff. They said the patrol 2X every hour! I stayed there for 2.5 days and there was nothing secure about this. There were no camera's and no patrols. The only thing was a flimsy gate that you needed a code to get in but it was all highly visible and almost totally open so that anyone could walk in. The exit door was pressure sensitive and didn't require any key or pass therefore anyone can drive away with your vehicule. I'm just glad that I only got my electronics stolen and not my whole vehicule. They claim it's an isolated incident yet there were 4-5 other parking spaces littered with vehicule glass. They are just around the corner from a homeless shelter and there was always drunks and druggies hanging out across the street. I should have taken that as my cue to leave but with two tired kids, I just wanted to rest. Lesson learnt! The hotel did nothing to resolve our theft. The police were "too busy" to even come by and take a report. This is a fine place to stay if you don't bring your own automobile. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The rooms facing Benton street are a bit scary since they have a patio door but there is plexiglass half way up so no one can fall out. Just a little intimidating. Especially if you're afraid of heights!
