“Best place in Midland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

This is a fabulous B and B. Stayed here 2 nights in July. The host is wonderfuly knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast is amazing. And the back of the property leads to the lake and trails. Stayed in the blue room which was perfect. These hosts think of all the little details that set them apart from other places. My only suggestion might be to try to have the room temperature controlled in each room. Otherwise, great place! Will go back.

A perfect location for our family reunion in Little Lake Park. Milton and Jennifer couldn't provide the perfect weather but they provided everything else. The Rose Room was lovely; well decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was a feast and Jennifer was able to accommodate for my wife's gluten-free diet needs. All the niceties were provided. We truly enjoyed the weekend stay and would highly recommend the inn. My relatives were staying in other local accommodations and were very envious of our choice.

Stayed at this Midland escape in late June, 2012. Walk in the front door off busy Yonge St in Midland, and you are immediately transported into a different world of peace and quiet, gardens and a lake.
Wonderful hosts, great company, perfect setting

This is the second B&B that we have stayed at and so far this has been the best one. The owner's Jennifer and Milton were very gracious and pleasant. Jennifer makes a breakfast that is to be envied. We would come back just for that ... Our room - The Green Room - was very quaint and the decor was tastefully done. There was nothing that was not thought of to make our stay any more welcoming. Upon our arrival, Milton greeted us with a pleasant smile and gave us some helpful tips before settling in. He also gave us a quick history lesson in regards to the building which was very interesting no less. The area in itself is very serene ... it is definitely a place to consider when you are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of a large city. Thank you to both Milton and Jennifer for making our stay a memorable one. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Beautiful little place! Would go back for a longer stay, for sure-Milton the owner runs a tight little ship! Breakfast great, warm and friendly atmosphere. He and his wife Jennifer have thought of everything. Loved the room, and the location!

I've stayed in a lot of B&B's, but this one absolutely outdoes them all. I brought my girlfriend here to celebrate out anniversary, and although knew very little of Midland, was attracted by the beauty of the establishment. It sits right on a beautiful little lake that, at the right time, displays the most amazing sun sets (making for the most romantic walks you could wish for!) Our room was huge, with an amazing bathroom (including jacuzzi) and a king size bed. The view from the room was even better, overlooking the lake, a small woodland area and the B&B's decking, complete with friendly squirrels and blue jays! Service was fine - as in most typical B&B's, you are left to your own devices - but, when we needed some information on the area and the breakfast, the woman was there with a warm smile. Breakfast was lovely and very well done. The eating area consists of a large table where all the guests sit to eat together. If you are looking for a 2 person table and a bit of privacy as you eat, you won't get it here. But, if you enjoy meeting and talking to new people, this is ideal. We enjoyed our breakfast with 3 other couples from around the world and shared info on the local area.

Midland is quite nice with some lovely attractions. We went to the Canadian Martyrs' Shrine, the nature park and some amazing pubs and restaurants. There's a lovely area where the water comes in and I experienced my first Diary Queen here too!!! It was literally heaven in an ice cream pot!

The most amazing B&B I have ever stayed in and I highly recommend you go if it's a romantic weekend you are looking for!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Yellow Room, which features a jacuzzi, king size bed and lots of space. An incredib...

We spent two nights this past weekend in The Yellow Room at The Little Lake Inn. Milton and Jennifer really keep a lovely inn! They have thought of pretty much everything to make you comfortable, from the availability of dvds, tea, coffee, pop, water, cookies, ice to comfy beds and immaculate rooms! The walkout to the back garden is a bonus of the Yellow Room.
The only reason we haven't given it 5 stars is because of the breakfasts....they were very accommodating with times breakfasts were served, but there is an over abundance of fruit. Don't get us wrong..what was served was very well done but, for example ...a bowl of warm blueberries followed by a bowl of fresh mixed fruit followed by upside down pineapple french toast and banana chocolate chip muffins. A strata or omelet is more our idea of breakfast. Many people love their breakfasts, they just weren't our "cup of tea" Do visit though, it is a great setting and a wonderful place to stay!
