“Wonderful Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

We stopped here to have breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. They offered many choices on their menu and the food was made fresh as ordered (which is explained with a little card to explain why there may be a slight wait). We received our food in good time and it was hot and delicious. Somethings were a bitpricey for the atmosphere, but I found it to be worth what we paid. This place is tucked away behind a Dairy Queen and we found it by accident really. Needs more advertising that it's there because it is worth the stop

“Based on breakfast only”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We stumbled upon this place, after discovering Mom's Restaurant was not open before 9:00am on a Sunday. I must say, I am glad we did. The eggs benedict was exceptional. The hashbrowns were not fried or greasy. Our server was very nice and attentive. The prices were excellent for the quality of food we received. The only issue I had, was with the decor. It was very out-dated, with little personality. Hard to tell if it was really old or just part of the "Tymes" theme. I will be going back.

“Some good, some bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Food is generally good at this restaurant. The problem is the service! The owner's wife serves and she's pleasant and does a decent job. But the young gals she has working for her are generally surly, incompetent or downright slovenly!

We get the feeling they wish they were anywhere but at work. It's unpleasant. And they never come back to see if you need more coffee or the stuff they forgot to bring - like ketchup or maple syrup or cream/milk.

It's also crowded as the tables are jammed pretty tight. The washrooms are clean but outdated.

But the chef is pretty darn good - his blueberry pancakes are great and his eggs are cooked expertly. Love his soups too!

It's pretty much a basic diner type of experience and it's also one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday.

“Boring menu”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2011

Common uninspired menu. They ask too much for what they offer. The washrooms are down a steep set of stairs. They aren't doing anything special here or offering a high quality of food. Portions are small and underseasoned. People who eat dinner at 4pm and like to waste their food dollars may settle for this. I feel it is a ripoff. Almost 20$ for a tough small steak or tiny pickerel plate with low-end packaged condiments? No thanks...
