“A relaxing time in this quaint B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

This B&B was just purely gorgeous. We loved the location (right on the lake) nestled in the lush greenery. So peaceful. Jacquie the host is such a beautiful lady, her recommendations for places to eat and things to do were greatly appreciated. We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B.
Thanks Jacquie and Rob.

As we arrived down the impressively long conifer lined drive we were met by our hostess Jacquie who took us on a tour of the impressive estate including, lawns, gardens, beach, boathouse, trillium floored forest and the impressive 1901 lighthouse! The Queen room is excellent with a breathtaking view of Georgian Bay and the facilities in the house , including free wifi are impressive, including a conservatory style breakfast room. The house is situated a distance from any neighbours and is quiet and secluded, therefore is very quiet with plenty of interesting flaura and fauna.

Our gourmet breakfasts preordered each day were superb, including Bob's fruit platter, speciality breads (marbled rye) homemade preserves and fruit drinks (crorange juice and cranana jam!)

If the weather had been a little warmer we would have been quite happy to holiday just at Beacon Shore! As it was, Jacquie's suggestions of things to see and do and her knowledge of local eateries was extremely helpful and we made full use of the two night's stay. We left feeing rested and pampered and would recommend this B&B to anyone without reservation!

Room Tip: All rooms as described on the Beacon Shore website are very accurate. You won't be disappointed...

I've been here twice now and loved both visits. I stayed in the queen room which has a great view. The place is always very clean, beautiful and nice.
The food is amazing, the french toast toast is my favourite and the fruit plate and jam you get with your breakfast is awesome as well.
The property is great and I love the view from their dock, where I actually proposed.
Wasaga beach is not far and there's a great trail nearby (5 mins drive) for rollerblading (and biking and walking and everything) that goes along the lake and most importantly has ice cream establishments along the route.
I'm definitely going back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Beacon Shore Bed and Breakfast. I would not hesitate to recommend this B & B to anyone. The room was wonderful - spacious, immaculate, cozy and the view - breath taking! And then there was the gormet - made-to-order breakfast. Awesome! We came away feeling very pampered . . . a great experience.

Beaconshore was an amazing time for us. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. The host and hostess were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Breakfasts were tasty and tweaked to our desires (when required). Jacquie's homemade preserves and breads were irresistible. Property is beautiful and well maintained. There is so much to do in the area and we will be back to do the things we missed out on. Our only regret is that the time passed too quickly.

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at the King room. I had read the 5* reviews, but I couldn't believe it until we got there. If you're planning a relaxing getaway, Beaconshore is definitely the place. You wake up to a heavenly view of the Lake, delicious breakfast which is warmly and beautifully presented by the wonderful hosts. The rooms are cozy and spotless and the bed is super comfortable. Thank you Jackie and Bob for your amazing hospitality. We'll definitely go back :)

If you want to get away from the busy city and just relax and enjoy the nature and the water than Beacon Shore is the place. Jacquie and Bob are great hosts and breakfast was delicious. It is an ideal location. Everything that was described on their website is exactly how they described it. It was our anniversary and we stayed in the Queen room which was perfect and cozy for us. We are defiantly coming back for more nights. 5 Stars all the way !!!

Thank you Jacquie and Bob for your hospitality and memorable stay !
