We stayed for one night when taking our son to camp in the area. I'll admit that we have extraordinarily high expectations when it comes to our lodging but this place is not up to even a Travelodge's standards. First there are about 10 parking places, mostly used by people in the bar. This is the same bar (one of three) that you MUST go through to get to the check in desk, our room overlooked the beer garden/parking lot, and thankfully our car, because when the bar closes that parking lot becomes the place to be! It sounded like the party was coming to our room and woke everyone up, in hindsight this was a good thing to keep the people out of our car! On the up side the room was reasonably clean, the sheets weren't like sandpaper and everything worked, problems we have encountered in much higher rated establishments. We mentioned staying here when we were looking for a room for the return trip to pick up our son and everyone said the decline at the Travelodge has been a recent occurrence (within the last two years). We have sent our concerns to corporate, they replied that this was independently owned . . . not their problem . . . they would bring our concerns up at an annual review of the facility. I would recommend this place for people w/o kids that were interested in fishing all day (nearest hotel to the water-- not on the water from what I saw in town) and drinking/gambling all night . . . not a place for children!
