I ate at the Britannia three times over a 2-week stay in Trenton in April, 2010.
The service was excellent on each occasion, with Sandy, the owner, personally dropping by the table to ensure things were up to snuff.
The menu concentrates on seafood and British fare, but my one steak was also very edible. The halibut and chips are among the best I've had and the home-made cole slaw was also very good. My third meal consisted of a home made steak and mushroom pie featuring a Beamish Ale based gravy. Very tasty, indeed!
Save room for a dessert; the deep-fried cheescake and the home-made trifle are both very well done.
Wash it all down with a pint of Harp, Newcastle Brown Ale, or Boddington's Creme Ale and you have the ingredients for a great meal out.
