We stayed one night at this location and were very pleased with the hotel. It's in a great location for visiting St. Jacob's.

The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

The suite was comfortable and the temperature of the room was perfect. The bed was amazing; one of the best sleeps I've ever had in a hotel bed!

The breakfast was fresh and tasty with a good selection. The only con was that the coffee was horrible.

Overall, a great stay and I highly recommend the hotel.

Nice hotel, certainly not worth a suite!

We stayed at the hotel and I upgraded to a suite because I already had friends staying in the "suite" section of the hotel and I wanted to be close to them. The rooms in the tower are newly renovated but I was expecting a lot more for the suite that was advertised. It was no bigger than a normal hotel room, if not even a little smaller. The bathroom had a stand-up only shower (not even a tub). The only thing I could genuinely was like a suite was the little fridge, bar sink and microwave. The plasma t.v. several reviewers have mentioned was in a very akward spot and didn't swivel so you had to turn the actual t.v. to see it. The beds however were terrific and I slept very well that way. When I used the exercise room it didn't have a T.V., which I thought was unusual, but the equipment was excellent. The staff at the front desk were rather unfriendly (although the person when I booked was very nice). While I didn't think the hotel was horrible, the room and staff certainly didn't live up to my expectations in paying for a suite.

I stayed here on a business trip, and payment was covered by my company, but I really enjoyed my stay here. It had recently undergone some renovations and although the outside of the hotel looked a little dated, the inside was really nice, and the room I had was very modern and very comfortable, you could tell it had been recently renovated and I was one of the lucky ones to stay there while it was still new/fresh. Our room came with a continental breakfast, which was larger than I had ever seen at other hotels when it comes to a limited continental breakfast, we were very pleased with the items offered, and it was a great way to start our day. Cost didn't really come into play because it was being taken care of for me, but I still would recommend this place. I don't think it's regularly very expensive, and it's in a great location, near some really good restaurants and prime location for shopping. Close to the mall, movie theatre, and minutes from the St Jacobs market and tourist areas.

  • Liked — Location is ideal, and continental breakfast was good!

This is a wonderful place to stay. We had a suite in the tower. The room was large, and had a spacious living room area with a large flat-screen TV which could be turned to view from the living room area or the bedroom area. There was a nice kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, sink, and even dishes and cutlery. The bathroom was spacious. The sink, which was outside the bathroom, had shelves for storing toiletries (very convenient). There is no restaurant on-site, but a continental breakfast is served from 6:00-10:00 am in the breakfast area off the lobby. This area was large, with plenty of tables for everyone. There was also a large, flat-screen TV to watch if desired. The food was good and plentiful.

For other meals, there is a Kelsey's restaurant across the street, plus a beautiful shopping mall with a food court. There is also a Keg restaurant and a Boston Pizza a couple of blocks away.

There is a small indoor pool and hot tub. The water was warm in the pool, which made it very pleasant for swimming. The hot tub was spacious and clean. Towels were available as well.

There is a shuttle available if you need to go somewhere on business. They will also pick you up at the end of the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

  • Liked — Spacious, clean rooms with lots of storage.
  • Disliked — No on-site restaurant.

Feb 10, 2008 | Trip type: Business

I recently stayed at the Destination Inn for one night on business. My group originally got placed into the older wing of the hotel. The rooms are small, but had been updated decently. One member of our party did not feel comfortable however, so we got upgraded to the tower at no extra charge. Even though the older section is decent, the new tower suites put it to shame! I had a King size bed, what looked like a ~32" LCD TV, ample room to roam around, and a quiet night on the 6th floor. Continental breakfast was included as well, and provided a good selection of fruits, yogurts, cereal, and drinks. In the end, I was very pleased with the service my group received and the quality of the room. I would rate the older section 3-4/5, but the new section is worth the 5/5 for overall quality.

  • Liked — Size and quality of the rooms
  • Disliked — Older section really shows it's age compared to new tower.
