“Dinners with style and flare , Yet homey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

Over the past seven years they haven't let me and my friends down. A well kept secret as the location is slightly off the beaten track. Often serves a tasting evening that raises the eyebrows with the variation of compatable ingredients and flavours.

“Best breakfasts in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Excellent selection, the fruit is always fresh (and ripe) and the meals are always good. A number of delicious omelettes to choose from and really yummy breakfast items with a twist.

“Best ever hollandaise ... get there by 9am on weekends!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

This restaurant is not where you would expect it - no other commercial businesses around, just some apartments and residential streets in this rather ordinary part of south Whitby. We were told by family we were meeting to arrive by 8:45 am on a Sunday morning - the restaurant opens at 9:00 am and takes no reservations. We got there and were the only car in the parking lot ... odd. Why get here early? BUT ... by 9:00 am, cars start arriving out of nowhere, and by about 9:15 the restaurant is completely full! It's obviously a secret the locals are in on!

Now to the service ... very friendly, attentive staff. Restaurant decor is upscale, modern, with open concept to the kitchen, where two chefs can be seen working away.

My only constructive comment - the wait. We were a party of 11, so that may play into it, but it was about an hour wait before our food came. Now, our coffees and teas were kept full in that time and our children had lots to do with iPhones/coloring books and reading material. Others with smaller tables were served faster. I wont say more, this was not a big issue.

The food. Awesome. Presentation, amazing. I had the traditional hollandaise style eggs. Each perfectly placed on top of an English muffin, toasted just perfectly and lightly buttered with a fruit bowl to round out the plate ... this for $11.95 ... on par with other places I would compare to, such as a Cora's. This was better, of course. The hollandaise, I could see it whipped up in the back before it came. So smooth, cremy, perfect. My wife had a breakfast burrito to die for as well... that's a whole other description. My kids dined on chocolate chip pancakes and fruit bowls - they seemed to love those too!

Yes, we will come back. This place has a great looking dinner menu too ... lobster, fish, steak ...

Highly recommended next time you are in Whitby!

“Favourite restaurant in the GTA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

This little place deceives you by its out of the way location and small size. However! when you go in you are greated by the warmest service and beautiful, quaint decore.

Dinners here are amazing! The Chef pays such detail to presentation that it's almost a shame to disturb the plate. The portions are good, not amazing but good. The flavours are fantastic! Each item on your plate is cooked to perfection and the flavours do not run together.

Breakfasts are amazing too! You will pay a little more than your average breakfast franchise but you will leave full and satisfied beyond anything you can get anywhere else. The Chef creates fresh salad dressings that will knock your socks off.

You will love it!
