Every time we visit Canmore, AB (which is several times a year) we always "dine" here. They have the best wings in Alberta!!! The service is always fast and great. The management, server staff and bar staff are fantastic. Very friendly and efficient. They make you feel like a "local". Besides the great food and drinks, which aren't unreasonably priced considering it is a tourist town, the decor and atmosphere of the establishment is super cozy with the English Pub feel not overdone.
The outdoor patio is HUGE and right on the edge of a little creek. Big trees all around. Umbrellas on tables and a huge wooden picnic table, lots of seating choices. When we take our young ones we can actually relax and enjoy beer and wings, able to see our kids in the safe fenced play area. If we go out in the evening without the kids, the place can get pretty lively. It's a great place for couples and tourists wanting a night out on the town.
The Roses' location is perfect, right on the corner of the main streets' intersection. Walking distance to most other pubs, venues, and resorts. Oddly enough the busy intersection does not interfere whatsoever with the quaint and fabulous charm of this restaurant/pub.
We have never had a bad meal or bad service here. The dinner menu is fantastic and varied, always freshly made. Not your plain old usual greasy pub grub.
Bathrooms need updating. Regardless,,, definitely a must if you go to Canmore.

Travelled here with 6 adults in August... we were visiting canmore for 3 days and told to try here... Unfortunately I was disappointed! Its a really nice place and the view on the patio is excellent. From the minute we got there the waitress did not seem happy, like she enjoyed her job, or even wanted to serve us. We sat at a 4 person table and did not get 6 sets of silverware until after the food came... When we had questions about the menu she didnt even know: like how many chicken fingers came in the order, how many pieces in garlic bread or bruschetta... When we told her we werent ready to order yet we literally had to wait 20 minutes and tell another waitress that we were ready to order to get her to come back and it wasnt even busy (it was about 4pm).. We were all given one glass of water and after hiking all day we wanted more, we were rudely given a pitcher and she dropped it on our table.. I ended up getting the chicken fingers and they werent anything special.. I tasted the fish a few of the others ordered and that was pretty good, as well of one of their burgers..but it wasnt awesome like we were expecting. The food was served fast which was a positive. The prices are also decent so thats another positive. Overall it was a nice place but the food wasnt amazing and the service was under par, so with all of the restaurants to try in Canmore next year on our trip to Alberta I dont think we'll be coming back.

08/25/12- 08/30/12 - We headed off to this spot for a burger and beer! Loved the outside patio and neighbor moutain views! Parking is small, patio has a small place for the kiddos to play and the grasshopper beer i loved! Went out afterwards to safeway and purchased my own 6 pack, lol! Loved this neighboorhood spot! Great food and service!

I have to admit, from the street the restaurant doesn't look like anything special. Its a different story once you get inside though. Thats where the magic happens!

We ate at the restaurant with a large group of people and we were all very surprised with the quality and speed of the service. The food prices were good and the food even better!

I would recommend this restaurant to anybody!
