“One great month in Canmore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2012

We stayed for one month in a nice two bedroom suite with two bathrooms and great views of the surrounding mountains.

We had a big Gas BBQ on the balcony we used frequently and a cosy gas fireplace in the living room.

After a day on the slopes the hot tub was very relaxing for us!

The main street with its shops and restaurant is in walking distance.(Thai Pagoda Restaurant with a hugh beer selection is our favorite!)

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

One thing would be great: If you come for a month a "midstay cleaning" would be nice in the wintertime!

“Wonderful for family to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2012

We stayed at the 3 bedrooms suite and it was very nice, except the wifi signal is very weak and just available in several area. The kicthen is full equipped and the room is very clean and comfortable. We've enjoyed our stay but hope the wifi would be improved.

Hi Robert H,

I am glad you enjoyed our clean, comfortable and well equipped suites. I will address your Wi-Fi comments with our technicians. I am glad to say the majority of the property has fairly comprehensive coverage, but we will certainly look into any improvements we can make.

Kind regards,

-Adrian,

“Lovely and Quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2012

My husband and I stayed at Fire Mountain Lodge for a week this winter and absolutely loved it. We had a three bedroom suite which was more than enough room for us. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped and the entire place was beautifully decorated and charming.

Even though they were very busy, we didn't hear our neighbours at all. It was quiet and peaceful - just what we were looking for in a getaway.

It was so nice to wake up everyday and look out the huge windows and all you see are mountains.

Room Tip: We had one of the pet friendly rooms. But they are all great with the same view.

“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2011

This was our second time staying at Fire Mountain. Apart from a couple of minor inconveniences our stay was great. The parent company Bellstar Resorts owns several properties in Canmore. Each one of them is unique in both their amenities and price. The fire mountain lodge has more of an appearance of a high end motel. .You enter your suite from an outside pathway. If your like us and you travel with pets, you'll have no choice but to stay in a 3 bedroom unit. They only have a couple of units that can accommodate pets. The unit themselves are very nice. a queen bed in the master bedroom with a TV and en-suite. The other two bedrooms each had a double bed with a TV in one of the bedrooms. The living room was quite spacious and even came equipped with a XBox. I suggest a upper unit, that way you won't hear people walking above you. the second floor also provides a better view of the mountains. If you are a senior or have difficulty with stairs.. I would suggest an alternate resort. Finally, the parking at Fire Mountain is horrible. the have support columns every 10 feet and expect two cars will fit.. the stalls are extremely narrow.
Bellstar has a very strange and complicated billing system. Your room rate can change from day to day depending on when you made your booking. Be careful to review your bill before you leave. At another Bellstar resort they overcharged us by $160.00. Thankfully, they were easy to deal with and immediately corrected the bill..

Room Tip: Get a room on the second floor.. unless you have mobility issues, then choose a main floor suite.

“Would come again, but....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2011

Came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Huge condo with amazing balcony overlooking the mountains. Very quiet, close to main street, friendly staff. Only complaint-no hot water and the larger condo's are never available for only 1 night. I didn't think a 2-night minimum booking is necessary. But, I would def stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 213 has an amazing balcony!
