“Family night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

We were lucky enough to have received as a Christmas gift a complimentary overnight stay in a one bedroom suite. We were trying to figure how how we would all sleep as we had 3 adults and 2 little ones. At the front desk I enquired about an upgrade to a two bedroom. No problem......for only $50 we had the most beautiful two bedroom suite. Our daughter comfortably slept in the king sized bed with her two year old, the baby in a playpen and my husband and I in the queen sized bedroom. We all had our own bathrooms. The views were breathtaking. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I stayed at Falcon Crest Lodge last week and it was a totally relaxing, comfortable stay. Staff are genuinely friendly and interested. Rooms are very well equipped with every need anticipated. The ability to get two DVD's to watch was an excellent perk. I will be back for sure.

Stayed for 2 days while in town for a wedding. Walking distance of 15 minutes to centre of town, so far enough away for it to be quiet.
Lovely room, with friendly staff, especially front desk staff .DVDs, puzzles, books all available for guest use is a nice touch.
Had everything you would need for a more extended stay. Would especially appreciate that every room has its own BBQ, so would not be bothered by 'visitors" checking out what you were having for supper or offering to join you.[this happened to friends at another hotel].
Has Indochine restaurant on site; food was delicious.

A very comfortable and well equipped one bedroom suite. Although we only prepared and ate our breakfasts in the kitchen, the suite came with all the necessities for an extended stay. The facilities were very clean and modern including the large bathroom, although the vanity basin bench space was surprisingly small.
Different to hotel rooms we have experienced in Canada (and plenty of other locations), the lighting throughout was excellent.
We could have paid an extra $25 per night for a suite with a view but the snow peaked mountains I can see through the balcony door from where I type this review certainly didn't warrant the extra expenditure! The gas fired BBQ on the balcony unfortunately didn't get a work out this time!
Very reasonable rates (stayed three nights for the price of two) and friendly reception and housekeeping staff - I would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the third floor facing the street have good mountain views and save $25

It sounds as if you truly enjoyed your stay with us here at the Falcon Crest Lodge. Thank you for letting us know of your challenges with space in the washrooms, it is certainly something we can look at expanding on in the future. We do hope you will stay with us again in the future.

Please mention you are a "repeat guest" the next time you reserve to receive a special rate.

For my second visit to Canmore, I stayed once again at Falcon Crest lodge for three weeks in September in a beautiful one-bedroom suite. I had very high expectations after my previous visit and Falcon Crest sure lived up to all my hopes.
This is such a lovely place to stay, with a friendly and welcoming staff who work hard to make their guests feel at home. The little extras such as the free dvds and library books, and the supplied laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets are a really nice touch.
Top floor suites have fantastic views, but be aware that the train noise is ever-present. Not a major problem, but it does mean that you can't sleep with an open window and you may need earplugs.
Location is great. It's a lovely 20 minute stroll into town along the boardwalk, or a little bit longer to head along the Bow River, and it's an equal distance to the supermarkets. I was a bit surprised to read a previous review that commented on tthe location being too far from shops to walk, but maybe in bad weather it's not such a pleasant stroll.
You're starting to feel like my second home, Falcon Crest, and I hope I'll see you again next year.

We stayed three nights here. Our one bedroom was lovely so clean . The BBQ on the balcony was great. The staff was helpful in touring ideas . The Hot tub was the only disappointment, it seems rather an after thought when building the hotel. It sits over the underground parking. We would stay again.

Room Tip: Ask to face the sunny side if you like to use your balcony.
