It was purely luck that we stayed in this resort. We ware looking for an overnight stay in Canmore, and just drove by. On the outside it looks not very attractive, and just because of the name ‘resort’ we decided to ask for a room. It was amazing what the employee let me see!!! The last minute senior rate was also very attractive, so no hesitation at all to stay here. A very nice apartment with a living room, large kitchen with beautiful tableware and everything else, like a toaster, microwave, huge fridge, dishwasher etc. There is a bathroom with a spacious shower unit, a closet with a new washer and dryer (even with wash powder, free for use! I could do all my washes) and a bedroom with a whirlpool. There are two TV sets, DVD player and there is a gas fireplace. The service is also very very good. In the reception you can use a computer for free. Because this one was occupied, I (and other guests) could use the computers in the office in the evening.

Outstanding people working here!! We became friends with everybody there. Breakfast,BBQ,hikes, etc.... , sign up for everything! Anything we needed, they took care of. The hike to Grassi lakes was especially fun. Thanks, you all, for a great vacation!!!

This is a wonderful motel to stay at!!! We were traveling for our 20th anniversary and happened upon this motel. The owner was kind and pleasant. The room was very homey and comfortable and clean. It was so peaceful and we were able to simply relax!! The continental breakfast was perfect!! I recommend this hotel to everyone passing through this way!!!

My family stayed in a 2 bedroom unit around Canadian Thanksgiving, and had a marvelous time. Maybe it's our taste, (or maybe we had a better unit?) but we found the units beautifully finished and decorated.

For a bit of detail, there is a large entrance, with a second bathroom off the entrance, a large closet, and another closet with a washer/dryer combo (brand new). The living room/dining area/kitchen flow together on the right.

In the living area, beautiful picture windows open onto a gorgeous mountain view (there's a hospital in the foreground - but it's not ugly - just cast your gaze skyward) - to see that mountain view every day was a holiday in itself.

The living area had a comfy sectional, and very nice (and warm) stone gas fireplace.

The kitchen had everything we needed, that you would expect in a condo. The dishwasher was very quiet, and we had all the niceties you would hope for (but don't always get) - coffee, dishwasher soap, etc.

The master bedroom was large, with the same beautiful picture windows. The bed was not the most comfortable ever, but not the worst either, and a full king size. There is a large whirlpool tub (didn't try it).

The master bath was large and well appointed. A huge walk in shower, excellent and plentiful toiletries. The second bathroom was equally nice, just smaller - I'm not sure if it had a shower.

The second bedroom was small, and it had no windows, so we did find that a bit cheerless, but that's a small quibble. A queen size bed in there, I believe.

We visited with extended family on this occasion - comfortably entertaining 8 people at a time - and our entire family was impressed at the quality of the accomodations.

I've travelled extensively and done timeshare exchanges before - this was every bit as nice as other places I've been.

The only negative is that there is a lack of other stuff to do - there is no pool, restaurant, etc. so it might not be the best resort if you have small kiddies to keep entertained, or if you want to have everything to do under one roof. You have to go out and get your entertainment - hiking, skiing, dining, shopping, etc. But what a great place to come back to at the end of the day.
