Just got back from Canmore, about an hour from Calgary and a break from the city. The hotel is well maintained, appears quite new and friendly staff. The pool area including waterslide and hot tub is fairly spacious. We came at a quiet time during the week, almost had the pool area to ourselves, likely different during holidays or the summer. Continental breakfast was adequate, it is complimentary. Besides the usual fruit, yoghurt, juice and cereal some hot items including waffles , pancakes, eggs and sausages. The room where breakfast is served is quite sizeable. Not busy but again likely due to our being there mid week. The hotel is within easy walking distance to restaurants and convenience stores. A short drive to downtown Canmore, good view of the mountains. AAA rate was around $ 102.00 plus tax and the room was fairly large with two double beds. Room decor simple and highlights mountain/nature theme. First time we stayed there but we will be back again. Not a full service hotel as no restaurant or spa but as noted adjacent to McDonalds, Wendys and Tim Hortons. Other than that you have to drive. Guest laundry, games room, fitness room on site.

Stayed here at the beginning of December for just one night. Clean, comfortable, had a fireplace (which I always think is a very nice touch, especially in the mountains) and free hot breakfast. Wifi was included and the service was fine.

It was business travel, so I can't comment on a lot, however; the setting, location and the town is gorgeous and I would totally take my significant other back for a romantic stay.

I will plug them though and say, I've rarely had a bad stay with Best Western. They are consistently good for the value.

Our window was broken and rather than fix it or move us to another room, we were left to deal with the cold and excessive noise from outside. We were told nothing could be done because the maintenance people were not available. There was a party on the belcony of the room below us and it took two calls to the front desk, one at 12:30am and one an hour later, to get them to quiet down. Despite having a contract for a discounted room rate, they still tried to over charge us. Won't be staying at this hotel again.

Booked for a girls night out of town, arrived 4 hours before check in and were allowed to take our room early! It was a weekday so the hotel was pretty quiet, but still awesome service!
We liked the room, it was very clean and well appointed. Beds were comfortable too.
The pool and hot tub areas were also very clean.
I have stayed here many times over the years and find it to be a great value for the money. Free continental breakfast included too!
