“Great as always”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

You can always win and never lose staying at Pocaterra. We'll continue going there for years to come. The staff are always ready to assist and full of suggestions for day trips. The breakfast is a nice bonus and so is the pool. We never have to miss a workout in the mornings with a Gym on site. We are already planning our next trip to the mountains, and we will most definitely be staying at The Pocaterra Inn.

Only problem with location is the parking lot. Very tight stalls and people take up two stalls making it difficult to find a suitable spot. If they widened the stall space people would park correctly and likely would end up with more vehicles on property. Otherwise all is good, very quiet rooms

This hotel has beautiful views with awesome rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. After exploring this exceptional town we spent our evening by the fireplace in our room. In the morning we partook of the plentiful breakfast buffet and again enjoyed the scenery from the dining room!!! We will definely be back!!!

Husband's birthday is between Christmas and new Year. Always a bit of a letdown for him.
This year I talked him into an overnight in Canmore with dinner at Patrinos (our fave).
Last minute booking through BW. Last room!
For $233/night high season rate we got more than our money's worth.
Checkin was quick and flawless. Front desk staff was attentive and I believe, genuinely friendly.
Room 404 is the King deluxe suite.
The outer area is a 2 comfy chair & couch (not so comfy) living room with separate washroom, Big screen TV and fireplace. Sink, fridge, microwave and coffemaker are adjoining the bedroom.
The bedroom is the same size, BSTV, 2 comfy chairs, fireplace and closet with fluffy robes, iron & board.
The Master bathroom has shower and tub, 2 sinks and mondo mirror across the whole space. The jets on the jetted tub were not working that day. I used enough hot water and bath product to make it worth my while regardless. Nice fluffy towels. One of my biggest peeves is too much fabric sharpener. Not a problem here.
The balcony covers the bedroom and outer room. The view is of course priceless.
Friendly staff. Hot Chocolate in the lobby. It was a Christmas showplace!
One family had taken over the lobby area as their family room by the Christmas Tree and fireplace and were having quite the social gathering. They welcomed every newcomer and added a warm fuzzy to the whole experience.

I liked it so much that I have reserved rooms for the end of the month for my girlfriends weekend winter escape. We plan to hit the pools and sauna at that time.
Parking is hampered by snowdrifts. Extra parking available next door.

Room Tip: All rooms have fireplaces! What's not to love?

We stayed here for 4 nights over the new year period. We can't complain about anything! The room was immaculate, warm and comfortable. There was plenty to choose from the breakfast buffet each morning. We would have no hesitation booking in here in the future.

My fmaily and I spent NYE in Canmore and stayed at the Pocaterra. Service was exceptional. All the staff very helpful and friendly. Even the non-English speaking cleaning staff wished us a Happy New Year the next morning. The staff made us feel very welcome. The rooms were very clean and quite modern. Beds were comfy. HD TV was a nice bonus. The pool area was very clean including the hot tub. I will defintiley stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevators, as there is a lot of activity. Also, I would not want to sta...

We booked a suite with a jaccuzi for our 15 year wedding anniversary and the room was huge with a 2 way fireplace, sitting area, 2 washrooms - 1 ensuite with jaccuzi and a poster king bed, 2 TV's. Very spacious and well furnished. This room was lovely. The only problem we encountered was that the jaccuzi went off after 5 minutes for some reason. The view was fabulous. We've stayed here on our honeymoon and had a nice room then as well. The front desk staff were young and friendly. However, not very in tune with providing that 'extra' service, ie. I mentioned upon check-in that it was our anniversary and they did not send up anything to acknowledge this special occasion for us, not even a few chocolates or wine, even though we spent almost $300.00 on the room. Upon check-out the next morning, there was no mention of how we enjoyed our stay, we were simply thanked and handed the receipt. Rather disappointing that sometimes the attention to detail is lacking and this did not make our visit memorable.
