Has to be the worst place we have ever stayed. The apartment was filthy, we spent as little time there as possible. We had booked 5 nights but left after the 3rd night. We used the oven and turned it off. The next morning it was still warm even though it was completely turned off! The patio door didn't lock. No air con. Uncomfortable furniture. Leftover food left in microwave from previous occupants. Food debris on carpet. It was just awful.

Room Tip: Book some place else!

The Chalets have great view of mountains. All amenities provided to cook, eat in option great. Nice little balconies. Lots of towels, rooms clean, comfy beds, nice fireplaces, property clean. Great value, if you have any issue it is immediately dealt with by management, who are very responsive and friendly. Great place for couple or family. Close walk to downtown, coffee shops, etc close. Would definitely stay again.

The Room. (134) When you get past the cigarette-marked entrance you enter a dark musty unit. There were holes and stains on the walls and doors, including bloody boogers (which I cleaned off myself) on the light switch and closet of one room. The kitchen was clean but dated. The bathroom had been spot cleaned only (look for the hair trimmings under the sink...gross). The fridge sounded like a bomb when the compressor shut off, not to mention you can hear everything upstairs. The futon sofa was covered in unknown hairs and the bedding smelled musty with a perma-stain on the white sheet. Oh, and the fire-alarm was removed from the ceiling (hello fire code), and the balcony door does not lock (there was a piece of wood to prevent it from opening all the way).

Hmm, lack of maintenance, cleanliness, and comfort does not warrant the price you pay for this unit. The pictures look great on the site, our room was not in any of those pictures. I'm sure there are some better suites, avoid this one for sure.

Will not stay here again.

Room Tip: No bear den obviously. Not Room 134 unless you bring paint, bleach, and a sleeping bag.

Let's start with the good.......easy to find, close to restaurants, spacious apartments with good sized bedrooms, full bathroom and kitchen.

Now the negative.......I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness inside the apartments - the carpets and couch and upholstered chairs weren't fit to be touched with bare skin they are in dire, dire need of a thorough steam cleaning, doors, baseboards and walls need a good scrubbing, bath was clean at least as were sheets. The smell Of some sort of strong citrus cleaner was over powering upon stepping in. Gross. These apartments are NOT soundproof in anyway. Even with earplugs in I could hear the people above us walking and talking. That being said the cops were called in to make the people above us be quiet at midnight as they were disturbing everyone near them. Plus, the train is about 20 feet from the apartments at the back of the property, so it was super loud when it passed by.

Would I stay here again? Not likely, unless I was desperate for a place to stay and I could have an upper apartment furthest away from the train track. There is a definite lack of pride at this property. And it is painfully obvious.

we stayed for 3 nights. we used our back yard space facing the mountains, sitting outside enjoying a cocktail taking in the view. they supplied comfy chairs to sit on. we had the trains on the bedroom side, not a noise problem. small tv but it worked, it wasn't our primary focus. hot tub was OK, tub wasn't very full and the water was luke warm. They have a pool table and fuse ball to use. able to walk to amenities close by. furniture was very uncomfortable to sit on in the living room. used pillows off our beds and that worked for us.

Room Tip: we had a bears den with 2 bedrooms, a king bed in one, queen in the other.

We stayed here for 4 nights in August. There were 3 of us (2 adults, 2 children). The chalets are located in a nice spot as they have easy access to the highway and close to Banff.

We found the chalets weren't of a high quality but they had everything you needed. We basically used them to sleep and eat breakfast. It was nice having a full kitchen with full size fridge. This allowed us to buy groceries so we could eat breakfast when we woke up. We also made a picnic lunch to take with us every day to save money.

We loved the fact that our patio had a great view of the mountains across the road. We sat out there every morning with our coffee.

For the right price I would stay here again.

Canmore has natural beauty - for that we are thankful. We were assigned the Bear Den by a lovely Australian girl front desk person, room 104. I went back and requested a higher unit, but (when she inquired of her manager whom we could not see in another room), was told they had more bedrooms, and since our bedrooms faced the street (literally a hop, skip and a jump up to the main street) we were in a "premium" unit, even though it felt like we were underground and had no veranda except a subterranian "landing". I requested chairs for the patio, and had to wait 3+ hours for them to be placed outside.
The unit itself was "clean" - but dated. King bed was lumpy, but comfortable - for privacy, you HAD to keep both the front windows with the shades down, and the bedroom windows with the drapes drawn... so the view was "lost" and so was the natural light to the unit. Kitchen counter had damage, and the ancient coffee machine worked but was stained/old. Cabinets were the white melmac with the oak There was a walkway right in front of the patio and then a bit of an embankment up to the road - so NOT private. A local hospital was right across the road, should we have needed their services.
