“Canmore Option”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

My husband and I stayed here because he was at a conference that was held here.
The place is very basic. The rooms are dated but fairly clean. That being said they seem to only clean the essentials as there were dirty handprints on the bathroom door, some of the walls scarred up and chipped ceramic tiles on the bathroom floor.
We stayed in a standard room which was two double beds. There was no mini fridge or microwave. There are patio doors but no deck to open them up on to.
The restaurant downstairs is good.

We had problems. Even with confirmation print out, the front desk staff were not able to find our reservation. They managed to find us a room right behind the front desk. It was noisy and didn't have a view. The bed was nice and comfortable, the linens soft and white. The heater was noisy and ineffective (the room was very cold!). They brought an old synthetic blanket with holes in it. The shower heads have noisy flow restrictors. The food however was very good! all three meals were good. The fitness centre is old and run down -treadmill was broken.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the front desk and also away from the train tracks. They only have a few ro...

We weren't able to find reviews of the jet-tub store before our 3-might stay, and weren't able to find adequate descriptions on the hotel website.

It has three seperate rooms; king bed, loving room, and bathroom. Bathroom has a jacuzzi and a combination steam room/shower that fits two. It has *two* shower heads, and has a pair of bathrobes! Through expensive, and doesn't have a kitchen, I prefer this suite over a condo at StoneRidge for the bathroom alone (we eat out anyway, no need for a kitchen). Room has typical hotel carpet, a fireplace, and two tvs. Paper was relived to my door upon request, and service was great.

Dear Andrew M

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent stay in one of our jetted tub suites. I am glad to see that you enjoyed the many amenities these suites have to offer. Who needs a kitchen when Canmore has over 75 restaurants to choose from, including many within walking distance. We would be pleased to help you with a dining reservation next time you are in town!

Sincerely
Sarah

My husband, myself and 4 year old son stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Canmore for 1 night and our stay was relaxing. The room was clean and basic. The beds is something the hotel can look at upgrading as they were comfortable, but not top notch. They had a remote control to change the comfort of the bed but did not see a difference. We were there for the Gold hockey game and the hotel opened up Vic's restaurant to watch the game on their television which was nice. They were in the process of renovating the hot tub so we were disappointed it was closed. Overall a positive experience for what we were looking for, an affordable hotel that we could relax in. We will stay there again.

The hotel was nice and simple room were comfortable but what was really nice was the excellent service and friendly atmosphere by the staff. I believe it was Deepak who checked us in and was very polite and welcoming. In the night one of the night desk agents Cameron came to our room to help fix one of the beds and later set us up a cab to pick us up in the morning and just gave excellent service throughout. Everyone was a treat to deal with.

The hotel was not bad, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
I was disappointed when I realized that they tried to charge extra at booking for a mountain view room only to find out that the room was already a mountain view, kind of dodgy don't you think?
The rooms were nice, quiet and clean with large mountain view windows.
The hot tub was out of order but this was understandable.
The gym was not clean, all they really have to do to remedy this is leave a bottle of disinfectant and some paper towel in the gym for people to clean up after themselves but the treadmill was covered in sweat and spit and I had nothing to clean it with.
The restaurant was okay but the breakfast buffet was not worth the money, also ordered off the menu which was excellent.
The halls were clean but there were some minor repair issues.
All in all it was a decent stay but I'd say that in order to charge what they did they should step their game up a little bit.

I was sorry to read that you were not satisfied with the condition of the hotel during your stay. Thank you for taking the time share your experience. The fitness room should have cleaning supplies at all times, thank you for letting us know about their absence during your stay.
