“Very nice accomodations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Once the town fixes the road to the lodge this will be as convenient as one can ask for. Clean room with a fire place, a big screen TV and since the room was on the back side no road traffic and I didn't hear a train, either. WiFi included - I didn't use it since I make it a point to have a holiday from the Internet, too.

Room Tip: Rooms out the back are nice and quiet.

Just returned from our early spring trip to Canmore. Was looking for a good economical hotel and picked Econo Lodge based on reviews. I have to say I was pleasantly suprised with this hotel. I have stayed at a number of other similarly priced hotels in Canmore, and none compare to this hotel! Compared to the place I stayed at on Main Street, the Econo Lodge is a Palace! The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were plentiful and just right. Yes, there is some wear and tear to the room, but nothing that would effect your stay. I advised the front desk (when we checked out) of the leaking water tap in the shower and the loose toilet seat, and the clerk was appreciative that I let him know of these concerns and advised he would have somebody look into these concerns. There was a free continental breakfast, but we never went as it was only open 6:30 - 9:30 and we never got moving that early (told you the bed was comfortable). The hotel also provided a free one day pass into Banff National Park. This was a nice perk as we were planning on going into Banff for a day, so that saved us a few bucks. I will visit this hotel again!

We took a chance on this hotel because we saw that it won the Good Housekeeping award and the price was right. The outside of the hotel was a little sketchy, but once we got inside it was pretty nice. We were upgraded to a King size bed with a fireplace and a jet tub. Wish we could have stayed an extra night to enjoy it more.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very adequate. We will definitely stay here again if we go through Canmore.

Clean, great value for the money, friendly staff. Good, free breakfast and even got a free day Banff park pass. Nice an quiet (located near train tracks but never woke up from it). Somewhat comfortable beds (however for an inexpensive hotel they were good). Great location in proximity to town and the highway. Will be returning here again!

Happily stayed a night here last minute in a cheap but fantastic executive suite. Kind bed, gas fire place, jetted tub (bit squeaky the tub itself) and balcony. Balcony is connected to all rooms on the floor and the view was.. nice with huge mountain views, along with a back yard or 2 and electric lines , but we didnt choose it for the view, bed was firm but comfy and pillows were awesome, room was on the small side but it was a very nice stay, cozy and free continental breakfast was perfect. Gentleman at front desk was helpful and helped us find a place to eat. Great value, will go back.

We stayed in Canmore before at a cheaper hotel, which by all means was not the better choice.
So on the second go around found a good review, and price on the Econo lodge.
We just satyed there for one night, the value for the buck is good. There could be a slitly better breakfast, but it was included.
If we stay in Canmore again we would stay there again.

Booked a king sized bed, fireplace, jacuzzi room for the weekend. A nice quiet get away for the missus and me in the mountains. The front desk staff where fantastic!!! I watched and listened in on them giving advice to folks on where to go, what to see, where the best ski trails where, the best shopping, the best meals, everything!!! THEY KNEW IT ALL!!!.

The room itself was nice, decent size, clean through and through. On the second floor at the back of the hotel, room 207, nice and quiet!!!

For the price you can't miss, and when you book a two night stay they throw in a 2 day park pass!!!

We found the people of both Canmore and Banff extremely friendly and helpfull. What a great weekend, next time we come down on the Harley's and stay for a week!!!

Room Tip: We had a room on the back side of the hotel, may have been quieter than on the front side.
