My fiancé and I stayed at Stoneridge for our 5 year anniversary (It was our 4th time staying at Stoneridge) the staff is wonderful, the location is great in winter for skiing or summer for festivals and walking downtown Canmore. The thing that separates this place and others around it? 12 month outdoor heated pool and hot tub!! THE BEST! Bring a plastic bottle of wine down to the tub and you are set! Make dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. No need to go out. iPod dock is awesome. View is unbeatable (see my pics) fireplace cozy. If its later in the day and you want to book sometimes they'll give you a discount - no harm in asking! Rooms are all brand new and impressive. Beds are sooooo comfy! All in all this place is perfection! PS- Railway Deli- chicken pot pie. Amazing.

We stayed for 6 nights in February, initially intending this to be a base for visiting Banff, Lake Louise and skiing but we loved Canmore so much we spent a lot of time in this town. Stoneridge apartments are ideal for families having great kitchens, laundry, and spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge area. Lots of storage space, undercover heated parking with ski and board storage, a lovely spa and pool area. Initially we were in a top floor apartment which we loved, with the big windows and lots of light and height to the rooms. Unfortunately we had problems with the plumbing/drain smell in the ensuite bathroom and had to move to a different room half way through our stay which was a real hassle. Having said that, the staff were very helpful and accommodating and did their best to find us another room the same but none were available. Our second room was on the first floor and had great views over the mountain ridges but we did prefer our original. We did hear the trains throughout the night in the second room, but you do get used to it. The place really has the potential to be 5 star, but something is missing and its difficult to place it. Certainly I agree with previous reviews that the cleanliness is not up to scratch, and it was the same things in both rooms that we noticed- the ovens were dirty, the shower plug hole had hair in it, coffee makers weren't cleaned thoroughly. Maybe getting some checklist for staff to have a clear routine and make sure things aren't missed. The corridors are quite characterless and dormitory like which doesn't help. There is no help offered with luggage or moving rooms etc, but the staff do respond quickly to any requests and are pleasant and helpful. Overall I would recommend this place if you can get a good deal, we had exceptional value through Sniqueaway, but I would not want to pay full price.

Our first time staying in Canmore, we were looking for an affordable getaway that provided enough room for ourselves along with some extended family, allowed us to do our own cooking, but was nice. Stoneridge was the best option my wife could find with a room that could handle 7 along with a kitchen. We figured to give it a shot, and were pleasantly surprised.
It did have a couple minor downsides. During the night we could hear the train rumble through town (but I do have a tendency towards light sleep on top of not sleeping well away from home). There were only 2 dishwasher tabs in the cabinet, and after housekeeping did the cleaning during our second day they forgot to leave a fresh dishcloth and towel. Problems were EASILY FIXED. For the dishwasher tabs we caught housekeeping moving down the hall and asked for a few more, she happily dug a few more out of the cart and handed them to us (I have a feeling they don't provide too many off the start because some have a tendency to abuse the provision). For the forgotten dishcloth and towel a call to the desk and within 10 minutes we had fresh ones.
To the good, the suite was very nice, LCD TV's with good selection of HD channels, great view of the mountains, dishes, cutlery, BBQ included. Everyone was friendly, greeting us with smiles and taking a moment to give some attention to the kids, housekeeping organized our mess, pool was warm on the frosty evenings, things were clean. Safeway (grocery and liquor) were a quick car ride of a couple minutes up the road (West through the roundabout, left at the lights, over the tracks and around the bend, a few blocks up and on the right).
We enjoyed our stay and if returning to the area StoneRidge will definitely be on our shortlist.

We are a family with 2 children aged 9 and 11. We love the year round outdoor pool at this resort and how much space there is in the suites. We have stayed here multiple times and have seen some improvements since our first visit. Extra TV's have been added in each suite. A TV and more equipment has been added to the exercise room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is sometimes a noisy resort in that there doesn't seem to be much insulation between units or something but never bothered me at night. We had no trouble with the internet in our room.
