My wife and I spent a week here, renting the Treehouse Room, hiking the mountains every day. It was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed, and our hosts were incredibly warm, gracious and helpful.The room itself has remarkable artistic craftsmanship. It's in a quiet neighborhood, right on a hiking trail, and a short walk to town. I can't recommend it more highly.

We celebrated our 35th anniversary in the Forest Suite at the Canadian Artisans B & B. It was our first visit to this B & B, but definitely won't be our last. We were so impressed with our hosts, Val and Bob, and their incredible place. Every attention to detail, including chocolate writing on our fruit plate to chocolates on the bedside tables at nighttime. There was an inviting soaker tub, beautiful stained glass in the windows and doors, and peace and quiet all day and night long. They are less than 5 minutes down a forest path to the river with many paths to explore and a mere 1 block to main street Canmore and all Canmore has to offer. Val was very knowledgable about Canmore and surrounding areas, as well as where to eat and what to check out. Her breakfasts were second to none, with a great selection of fruits, walnut bread, cheese and a variation of a ham and cheese omelet that was delicious. Also homemade granola, yogurts and juice and coffee. They are located just off a very quiet street, with a mountain view out every window, and surrounded by forest. The room was comfortable and cozy with a very warm fireplace and fairies and dragons keeping a watchful eye on all. Bob and Val are the most gracious hosts, and we would very highly recommend a visit to their home. We have stayed a several B & B's, but have not been as impressed as we were at Canadian Artisan's. We had a chance to peak in at the Tree House room and it was also very inviting. They are very proud of their rooms, which include custom wood work by Bob. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found this gem and look forward to returning very soon.

We stayed in the Forest Suite at Canadian Artisans B&B for three nights in September and couldn't have been more pleased. The room was gorgeous, superbly equipped, and was an environment that we looked forward to relaxing in after a day of outdoor activities.

The unique and artistically constructed B&B is located on a quiet street, right next to a walking/biking path to the river and a very short walking distance from restaurants and shops in the lovely town of Canmore (not at all crowded and touristy like Banff).

The breakfasts were truly the best! There were many choices of abundant, fresh and nutritious food, as well as lovely ambiance and presentation. Hosts Bob and Val were so friendly, gracious and generous, orienting us to both the town and the surrounding area and suggesting interesting hikes and drives.

We have very fond memories of our stay at Canadian Artisans and only wish that we lived closer so that we could return more often.

This place was a highlight of my travels. Here's why:

First off the hostess, Val. She really looked out for us. She gave us maps, chatted with us about our itineraries, and made good suggestions. She helped arrange reservations as we planned out our stay and really just genuinely put a lot of effort into making sure we had the best trip possible. I only regret that I missed out on her cooking!

The accommodations were awesome. We had a spacious room decorated in mountain decor. Val said that she and her husband had built the place themselves reusing wood from older places in Canmore. You could really sense that this was a place full of story.

The location was awesome as well. It's walking distance to tons of shops, restaurants as well as mountain trails. It was a perfect home base for our trips to Banff, Lake Louise and other spots in the region.
