The building itself is beautiful, made with log and timber construction. The restaurant has huge floor-to-ceiling windows that give an incredible view of the surrounding mountains. The food however, was quite bad.
We ordered the panfried calamari, BBQ smoked wings, and Kobe lobster burger, and none of it was very good. The panfried calamari was particularly bad, very slimy and basically inedible (the sever kindly didn't charge us). The wings were so-so, with extremely large pieces of meat (freakishly large), making the surface sauce-to-meat ratio all wrong. The Kobe lobster burger had no visible or tastable lobster meat, the patty was quite fatty, and the bun was stale.
Our sever was quite friendly and helpful, however. We were grateful that she didn't charge us for the calamari.
The place has huge potential, given the beautiful building and location. However, they need a new menu and cook! We won't be back until then.
