Description: Oted most Romantic Restaurant in the Rockies, we are tucked off Main Street Canmore in a charming character house. Tapas offers the lively fusion of Spanish and Old World flavours created by our kitchen team. We have designed a menu of specialty dishes that are prepared to order from the freshest ingredients available. All stocks, sauces and desserts are made by our Chef Dan Purvis in house. Our menu offers gluten free and vegetarian options. Share several plates amongst friends in the intimate dining room with Spanish style murals and high back leather chairs. We also have an eclectic attic with slanted ceilings and low windows which is great for small parties. Don't forget to visit us in the summer where you can enjoy tapas on our Mediterranean- style deck with lovely al fresco ambiance. And most importantly, be sure to try our house made Sangria (white or red) or choose a lovely Spanish Cava or wine from our Wine Menu. Want to bring your own wine, we offer a $20 corkage fee as well.

“Always Great!”

Great Atmosphere, great food. Services is always excellent and so is the food. My fav place to dine in Canmore. Great wine selection, the best sangria in town.

“Disappointing NYE Experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

I think that NYE should be a time when restaurants really make an effort to impress new and returning clients. Unfortunately this was not our experience at Tapas. They charged $85 for a really sub-par meal and then added 18% gratuity to our table of 4 with no previous notice. They agreed in advance to remove the bacon from one of the set meals, but then told us it wasn't possible the night of. They also went around to each table before midnight offering sparkling wine for $15 a glass. Tacky. On the positive side they offer a $20 corkage fee. Overall - an overpriced meal with average service, and the four of us left feeling ripped off and disappointed. It is too bad as we had heard good things about Tapas.

“Not a family restaurant.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Not a family restaurant. Very expensive for a very little amount of food, paid more then 150$ and left hungry. They want to exempt fine dining but the overall quality of food does not measure up.

“Friendly and welcoming, very tasty food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

I was at Tapas restaurant on Christmas eve with my husband and 2 sons. The service was prompt and friendly and the food outstanding. Our particular favourites were the portobello mushrooms with brie, the patates bravas and the beef carpaccio.
