I find it difficult to give a low rating, as the food was good and the service tolerable. However, I ordered lamb shoulder roast and was served a good (not great) set of large lamb ribs. When the waitress asked me how my meal was, I told her it was good, but not what I ordered. We had a brief discussion, but she was confused and quickly joined by the owner. He must have encountered this question before, as he had a ready answer - that the ribs were part of the shoulder! He quite reprimanded me for questioning his expertise, explaining that his was the only restaurant in Alberta that served this cut of lamb shoulder. I agreed, saying that I have had lamb shoulder many places and the ribs had never been included!
After this, the poor waitress was afraid (embarrassed?) to come back to my table, though I had been quiet and polite to both the waitress and the owner. I give the poor rating, as I would not go back to this restaurant. The food was ok - vegetables poorly cut, seasoned or cooked; the Greek potatoes were greasy and flavourless; the lamb was good, but, again, it was not the shoulder I had been expecting.
