“Good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We did not have a reservation but were able to get a room at 10:00 at night. Parking lot well lit and bag cart available. King bed was good. The only thing I did not like was they.used flat sheets for the bottom sheet and.they can be pulled away. Over all one of the best sleeps we.had.on the.vacation.

We were attending a local event, and decided to stay at the Coast as it was close to the event.

The location of this hotel is excellent! It is close to the border - so you can pop over to save money on gas, and close to lots of restaurants.

On that note: The hotel has an agreement with Me & Ed's Pizza for 15% off for hotel guests. Please note that this discount does NOT apply to "specials". The food at Me & Ed's is VERY expensive, so you really need that discount! Also, the menu posted in the Elevator is old - the prices shown on it are lower than the current prices. Hard to believe that a single large Pizza is more expensive than $26, but it is! It is good Pizza, but you best have deep pockets! You have been warned.

That said, the hotel offers "Breakfast". What they should be more clear about in promotional materials is that this is what they call "Continental Breakfast". And a scant one at that! Basically, some Croissant and small pastries from Costco, a limited selection of fruit, some good orange juice, some coffee and tea. That is IT. Nothing "hot", and not a single scrap of protein - no bacon, no sausage, no boiled eggs, no yogurt, no cheese, no toast, no oatmeal....

Suffice it to say, breakfast was an abysmal disappointment.

On the plus side, when we checked in, the lady at the front desk gave us a free upgrade because the type of room we booked (2 queen beds) was on the 2nd floor. It seems that there was a large wedding party that pretty much had the 2nd floor booked, and she wanted us to have a quiet and restful stay!

WOW! We appreciated this! We were upgraded to room 419 on the 4th floor. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop! Actually, when in the bathroom we did hear one of the bathroom fans from another room - but not enough to bother us!

This hotel has a pool and a hot tub. And unfortunately - NO specified "Adult" hours for the pool! When we went down there were around six kids - not being supervised - that were running amok! The yelling, the screaming... Yes, we know "kids will be kids". How about Kids will behave themselves and be respectful? We got fed up with sitting in the hot tub and having water splashed into our face from the antics of the kids in the main pool!

I hope the hotel management reads this: PLEASE!!! Make the first and last hour of the posted pool hours for "adults only"!!! There was a guy there who had come down to the pool to get away from his kids - and he was miffed that he had to put up with someone else's kids! And I don't blame him.

As I said, the room was quiet. The TV was great. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We got a great nights sleep!

We would stay here again. Just bring some of our own stuff for breakfast. :)

Room Tip: I did notice that room 401, and presumably, 301, and 201, were sandwiched in between the Elevator, a...

We were a group of 5 coming back from an epic 9 day kayak adventure off of the coast of Vancouver Island, (looking and no doubt smelling) pretty bad. We caught the late ferry from Duke Point to Tswassan and so all the hotels right up to Langley were full except for "smoking" rooms, (YUCK!). So it was a very pleasant surprise to be greeted by the friendly front desk clerk at the Coast Hotel in Abbotsford.
We got a king suite complete with kitchen and two pull-outs.
I've never spent any time looking around Abbotsford so I'm not sure what's there though it looks like a beautiful area so for travelers it's a great location because there are many restaurants and other facilities all around the same area and within walking distance of the hotel and getting back to the hwy is super easy.

My kids and I go to Abbotsford about every two years as a jump off point into Vancouver and because it is close to the Cultus Lake Waterpark. We've stayed her twice now (first time and just recently) but tried a couple of other places, and the Coast is by far our favorite. The price is awesome, the hotel is well kept, modern and clean, and it has a good pool. It is also perfectly located with easy access to the highway and places to eat including an Old Spaghetti Factory a 60 second walk from the front doors across the parking lot (so I'm counting it as a the hotel's restaurant), Boston Pizza a 5 min walk with another minute to a Milestones. Timmies, Rotten Ron's, etc. - all nearby. I was a bit freaked out on a very hot day when I walked into the lobby to check in and they had fans all over the place meaning no central A/C, but the room had A/C that worked very well and we were very comfortable. This is the only place we will be staying from now on when we do our bi-annual trip to Abbotsford.

What a great hotel nestled behind restaurants.

I stayed here for the Abbotsford Air Show on business. This hotel is very clean, very friendly and has such a nice homey feel.

The lobby felt homey and the juice/snacks were available for most of the day. The elevator can be a little bit slow but the property does not have many floors.

Take advantage of the pizza deal from the pizza place next door, its yummy!

The hotel is close to many restaurants.

Hotel was very nicely appointed with good staff, great condition, clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Continental breakfast could have been a little better, but all in all they kept it full. Nice convenient location off of highway #1, with lot's of restaurants around.

We were looking for a reasonably-priced room and a clean hotel and we found it here - and more. The rooms were nicely appointed and looked new or at least updated. The pool and hot tub area was very quiet, and clean and open 'til 11pm, eventhough the sign said 10pm. The king bed was very comfortable with a wide choice in pillows and I had a long, uninterrupted sleep.

The morning check-out accompanied by fresh cookies was a nice treat!

Room Tip: We stayed on a 3rd floor room facing the road and the noise level was fine for sleeping. The windows...
