Look past the outdated décor. Seriously, who cares about aged décor when the food is classic and yummy! The place is clean, the owners and servers friendly, and Dot's is always filled with regulars.
Now, the fries. Once they're out, they're out. They cut their fries fresh every day, so if you're there a little late, you may be out of luck. I've been disappointed before. I've also been known to go just for fries and gravy. But I can attest to the deliciousness that is the Eggs Benny. Try the smoked salmon benny. *do I hear angels singing?* The salmon is moist and actually in chunks. It's not lox style. Heavenly! And the hollandaise is divine. Not too thick, or overly rich...it's the perfect complement and only enhances the flavours.
Dot's is a breakfast/lunch joint. Open until about 2 or 3. Closed Saturdays (and maybe Mondays?).
My favorite of Langley's classic, old-fashioned cafes.
