“Another wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Anybody who has stayed at the Del Ray will agree on the quality of the location, facility and breakfast. After our 5th visit here, we can also attest to its consistency of excellence. Our gracious hosts, Phyl and Bob, are always looking to improve the experience of their guests. This is a difficult task when you're dealing with perfection.

a beautiful and tranquil oasis located in a spectacular part of the country. If you're thinking of a taking a tour of the Okanagan valley make sure to spend a couple of days at the Del Ray in Osoyoos. You're sure to have fun touring the many wineries in the area and you'll enjoy the beautiful accommodations and the first class service that Bob and Phyl offer and that you simply won't find anywhere else. By the way the other reviewers aren't kidding, the breakfasts alone are worth the visit.

Attention to detail is unparalleled at the Del Ray. You wont find better B&B owners than Bob and Phyl. They are the reason why this place is outstanding. The bedrooms are superb and the patio area adjacent to each room is ideal to relax and enjoy some of the wine you have likely collected on your wine tours. Bob and Phyl are more than happy to give you their recommendations on the surrounding wineries as well as make any necessary reservations for your dinner plans.

Onto the breakfasts.... If you can't enjoy their multi-course gourmet breakfasts you must have no taste. Who would have though merlot grapes make such excellent juice. We tried all their juices, apple, grape, apricot, peach and cherry and none of them miss. With alternating sweet and savory breakfasts you really get a culinary experience. Having a sunny breakfast next to their wonderful orchard/garden adds a layer of experience that you will have a difficult time matching anywhere else.

The worst part of the whole experience is the fact that this gem is up for sale and we may not be able to stay here next year. Our trip was 4 nights over Canada Day long weekend. We'll be back if it's still around next year.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent and the entire area surrounding the home is outstanding.

Everything you could want in a B&B. Fabulous room with an even more fabulous view. Quiet, relaxing, delicious breakfasts, warm hospitality. You had us at the cookies. And the fresh juice. Would have liked to have moved in!

Bob and Phyl have worked hard to create the absolutely best B&B we have ever visited, or for that matter, imagined. The location is bucolic, with the views enhanced by extensive flower gardens. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and the food and hospitality is beyond compare. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit juices they make themselves.
There is a reason every TripAdvisor review is full of superlatives, and however high your expectations, the Del Ray does not disappoint. We wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to another visit

We stayed at the del Ray for the first time 3 years ago and were surprised with special treats, amazing breakfasts, and wonderful company. We just returned from our second stay with Phyl and Bob who warmly welcomed us back, making us feel like we were coming back home. Everything that they do is amazingly over and above the norm. The del Ray is designed to provide privacy with individual back entrances to your room as well as being tastefully decorated and offering unique ensuites in each room. The grounds are well manicured and it is a delight to wander the gardens filled with so many different plant varieties. It was so relaxing to take in the orchard and lake views from our back door, as well as watch the birds enjoying their breakfast while we were enjoying ours. Our stay was truly delightful.

We arrived at the Del Ray after a week of moving and couldn't have been more happy with our experience there! The owners, Phyl and Bob, are so inviting and friendly and made us feel so welcome in their home. Everything from the private accomodations to the gourmet breakfast was fantastic! The room was large and spacious, with an ensuite bathroom and a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us. The breakfasts were served at the time of your choice, which turned out to be our favourite time of the day! Each day was different, starting out with an amazing breakfast "appetizer" with your choice of fresh pressed juice, followed by an elaborate gourmet meal! We were so impressed and would definitely go back again in a heartbeat!
