I stayed at the Watermark from May 31 for 4 nights in a studio lakeside suite. We had room 213 which is on the second floor directly over the pool with a stunning view of the lake. The room is everything you could want with a large balcony with a table and 4 chairs. There is a kitchen with a two burner stove/dishwasher/fully stocked with pots and pans and cutlery and even a pantry. There are cozy cotton bathrobes and all amenities in the bathroom with big drawers for your toiletries so you don't have to have everything piled on the countertop! The first night we had dinner at the hotel and were very pleased with the service and food and lots of wines by the glass. It is a small wine bar and unfortunately the weather was cool and showery so they couldn't expand outside. I was under the impression a second dining room would be open by this time but I must be mistaken. The breakfast was not enough to warrant the $12.99 they wanted for it. It was just cold meat and rolls and cereal so we went to Smitty's every morning and got bacon and eggs. When we were at one of the wineries we ran into an employee of the resort who said unfortunately the dinner was going to be buffet for the rest of the week due to renovations in the kitchen. I don't know why a place that just opened a year ago would have to renovate so soon but this was definitely the case. We had the buffet that night but were dissappointed as it was $30.00 per person and was salads and roast beef and some pasta dishes with brownie type desserts. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant called Campo Marina which I highly recommend. I would reccommend this resort to my friends but would advise them to ask what is open and not open as there seem to be growing pains. The gym and spa didn't seem to be open although the pool area and changing rooms are wonderful. The service was great - we had a loose toilet seat when we checked in which was immediately fixed and all the staff were very nice - especially in the wine bar. A barbecue on the balcony would be great for the summer crowd but that is the only thing lacking in the room.
