ok, im a total tea critic and fanatic. the place is nice if you like the old fashioned english tea time thing but the tea, i dont think anyone realizes that every single tea they are selling along with the accessories are coming straight from metropolitan tea company, the same thing you can get at longos or any other place that serves tea for that matter. theres nothing unique or exquisite about it. certainly not worth what they are selling it for. the flavored teas have either unlisted ingredients or "natural flavors" which aren't actually natural at all, they're just derived flavors. I know for a fact because I have bought from metro that the teas they are selling here cost about 10-20$ a pound and they are selling cheap tea for 10$ per 100 grams?! Theres much better out there.
actually, i just remembered this place (i must go again!) theres a tiny tea room on bur oak at church, something temple, (cant remember off hand) the girl is a certified herbalist and tea artisan and hand makes all the tea fresh with real stuff that you can see in the hundreds of clear jars she has in an open concept kitchen area, everything thats in the tea is on an ingredients card she gives you. totally original and with health benefits and the taste! you've never had anything so delicious, she is great and gives you all kinds of information of the teas and herbs and for anything that ails you...(best night sleep i ever had after she gave me a sample of sleepy tea to take home...she said i shouldn't drink and drive haha) they have a bit later hours too so you can go by after dinner, and her tea is cheaper but i think worth triple, oh, and she customizes for you on request! they also sell do matcha which is by far the best (was rated by brain ready as the best in the world!)i hope that helps!
