“It is unique...but disorganized”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

Had breakfast... Husband had the Yukon (11.95). He liked their bacon. 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast. Quick food service. I had a tasty egg white omelet with mushroom, cheese and spinach. The cons .... Hanging around the foyer waiting to see if someone will seat you, jam ( Kraft) ...they coul do better, weird creamers for the coffee (not real, some chemically stuff)

“Not so "golden" breakfast”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Went back after years of being away hoping to enjoy the same experience I remembered as a younger person...didn't happen.
I had their smaller version "Campfire" breakfast...over 8$, and their thick klondike toast was as thin and normal as I've ever had ...and the 'golden griddle' pan fries were obviously frozen little squares out of a bag. Very small portions. They forgot my decalf and when I got it, they charged me more than a regular coffee, with no offers of a refill.
I had been excited to take my husband who had never been there and was very sad to have been so disappointed in the overall experience.
What happened to you?
Sadly I won't be back.

“OK, but a little tacky.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

We too decided to give this a try after seeing it on DD&D. We were sat quickly and real apple and orange juice was served (mmmmm). The menu is typical with their own small spin on it. The servings were slightly larger than one would expect and it tasted good. The only real complaint I have is the amount of native art for sale tucked in every nook and cranny. Some of it is good and other items are just tacky touristy stuff which in my opinion, shouldn't be on the same shelf let alone in the same establishment as "real" west coast aboriginal artwork. Less is more Chick.

“Living In The Past”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

The "average" rating is being charitable, perhaps in deference to the past. Not what it used to be, by a long shot. We go there every couple of years hoping that things have changed, but find ourselves saying "it ain't what it used to be".

I haven't seen the Diners, Driveins and Dives show that it was featured on, but all I can say is that I really have to question the producers of the show as to what their criteria are.

“Great place for breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Definitely a great place for breakfast. Portions are pretty big. The quality is very good and very consistent. Exactly what you would expect from a restaurant that is around for that long. It can be really busy during weekend, but the wait is never too too long.
