“1 Star for View”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2014

I went to this restaurant for Valentines day as I had read it was 5 star. While the view was pretty good the food, environment and service was mediocre at best.
The food was actually terrible. Beef was the worst I have ever had and I have had some pretty bad third world dishes. Not sure what they were trying to do but it was flavourless, soggy and gross looking. Desert was another huge disappointment. Pop rocks on top of the crème brule? Really?
Flavourless and very tacky. Not even 1 star.
The bill for two of us was over $300. They added $40 gratuity (likely cause no one would tip otherwise).
If you want the view then take the gondola. Don't waste your money on the food.

“Magical Night overlooking Vancouver”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

We went here for Dine Out Vancouver and were pleasantly surprised with a window seat overlooking Vancouver on a clear evening. We rented skates and went skating on the pond before dining to build an appetite. The 3 course dinner was well prepared and presented and the short ribs were excellent. There were 3 options for each course and excellent BC wine pairings for each. The regular menu and wine list was a bit different from the Dine Out offering and we will return. Prices matched those in similar restaurants in Vancouver. This is an excellent venue to impress out of town guests and for something different. Full list of the menu can be found on their web site. Service from Katherine was excellent and efficient and she explained what each item was. All staff were very helpful. The Gondola ride is included with your reservation, but parking was an extra nominal amount. Bring your camera. Also be prepared to travel down with a Gondola full of sweaty and wet snowboard and ski enthusiasts as after all, this is a skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing mountain within minutes of downtown Vancouver.

“Made my wedding day perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

I had my wedding at Grouse Mountain and had previous gone for a first date there with my boyfriend, now husband. On both occasions the meals were amazing. The service was top notch and the setting couldn't have been better. I highly recommend any body who lives in or travels to Vancouver to go to Grouse Mountain.

“Bad Experience - Dine Out 2014”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

If you just want to enjoy the view, it is ok to go this restaurant. If you like food, you should go some where. We order Coconut Éclair passion fruit, lime cake for dessert but we were served Cream puffs which tested terrible. I could not believe that 5 star restaurant did it to us.

“Very average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014 via mobile

Beautiful view and service not bad but the food was mediocre at best for a fine dining restaurant. The coconut eclair was inedible. The gnocchi were like bits of fried potato inbetween some vegetables. The beef was ok. Come up here if you want a free ticket up the cable car(normally $40 per person) and try to stick to simple sounding dishes rather than adventurous ones
