“Drop-dead gorgeous kayaking or picnicking/sunbathing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Very popular, so plan ahead to find parking. Plentiful kayak rentals, plus cute little shops for eating/drinking/shopping just above cove to enjoy.

“Nice village - but don't miss the Quarry Rock Hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Deep Cove is a lovely village about 30 minutes by car or 1 hour by bus from downtown Vancouver. There's a nice park and swimming in the cove in the summer, kayak rentals, etc.

My favourite thing to do in Deep Cove is the Quarry Rock hike, part of the Baden Powell Trail. It's a 45 minute hike through a densely wooded area with douglas fir and hemlock trees to get to Quarry Rock. Once you reach Quarry Rock, I recommend bringing a snack or lunch, or just hang out and enjoy the spectacular view.

When you're done and back in Deep Cove, check out the quaint shops, art galleries, and enjoy an ice cream or some lunch/dinner before heading back to Vancouver.

“Great place for outside activities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

You can have a picnic there, go hiking, swimming... or just enjoy the amazing views. Its easy to get to deep cove by bus but you wont have problems to park there as well. There are great places to eat, and also good snacks places as pizza and ice cream.

“Kayak Heaven and Quarry Rock”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Rented kayaks and explored Indian Arm, really wonderful, calm and beautiful. Also hiked up Quarry Rock and enjoyed the vista from above.
