“Great for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2011

My review is from a "non-skier" family.
We just wanted to see some snow and have a play.
About cad$44 to get in, but this includes the trip up the hill and activities once there.
The ride up the hill was packed, and we couldnt see much, learnt for the trip back down to get in early and push to get a window. Bit hard with a pram but we did it!
Ice skating was great, very rustic, looked like a frozen lake (didnt look like a rink, which I thought was rather cool) smallish but still heaps of room for people.
The sleigh ride was fun and great for us not keen on hiking through the snow, we did a few 'loops', our children and nana loved it. (so did I) great for people watching!
The lodge is lovely and warm to sit in and watch other people.
I think it is a little pricey, but, what a cool once off experience!

“Way too expensive!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2011

Like what other people have written, I personally don't think it's worth the ticket price which was $44...seriously!

The cable car trip was about 7 or 8 minute up to the top. There is no show or activity in winter. If you don't do any kind of winter sport, there is no point going there!

The views were obviously great (on a nice clear day) but think about the money you paid for the ticket and you would reconsider it. A cheaper way to do if you are up for hiking is to do the grouse grind and take the cable car down for $10.
It is nice to get a coffee from the cafe and sit on the deck and enjoy a great view. There is not much to do when there is no snow. You can spend a couple of hours at the most. I wouldn't do this again and there are a few other mountains in the area with better or similar views at better price.

“Didn't meet expectations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2010

Grouse mountain came highly recommended. After reviewing the website, we believed the $39.99 fee per adult was a bargain. It would include skiing, ice skating and sleigh rides. Since we visited after a trip to Whistler, the skiing was lack-luster. The ice skating rink? Smaller than my backyard growing up. The sleigh ride? A snow cat spewing diesel fumes pulled a sleigh around for 10 minutes. It was definitely a big let-down and wouldn't recommend for adults.

“Beautiful View, a bit overpriced !”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2010

I took my family there this summer. The view from the top was fantastic. However, it is pretty pricey to go up the cable car and the summit was a bit messy with the large amounts of equipment left to rot. The kids loved seeing the grizzly bears and they enjoyed all the activities they had in the summer. Next time we might try the grouse grind, to climb up there for FREE and take the cable car down for a much cheaper price. It is still a must visit place if you come to Vancouver.

“Million dollar view from the top of mountain, Vancouver BC !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2010

Apparently grouse mountain is the place to go all year around. I took the skytrain to the ferry stop. Took the ferry to Noprth Vancouver. Took the bus from the terminal to Grouse Mountain. Very efficient. It is very easy to get the mountain by public transportation. We took the escalating gondola to the top. You can also hike up the steep hill which will take you approximately 1-2 hours for 8 bucks only in summer. It's about 30+ for adults each. During the winter time, people enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing a lot. Everyone should feel the energy of Vancouver. Grouse mountain is the way to go for all year long.
