“No. 9 Restaurant - Excellent Service & Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

Went for lunch at No. 9 for my grandparents wedding anniversary. We arrived just before the lunch rush, but were very well taken care of by our server. They were very friendly, accommodating, and checked in with us multiple times during our meal. The food is pretty standard, but the amount you get is well worth the value. Very reasonable prices. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in Richmond.

“Very convenient (24 hours) if you have layover and dont want hotel food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

We were on layover and arrived at our Richmond hotel around 8. Concierge recommended this place. It met our needs...something tasty and not too far. It was cab ride from the Airport Delta, maybe 5 min.(Free parking if you are driving)
Seemed very authentic chinese resto. Huge menu. Busy, noisy and super fast service. Food was good, and very generous portions. Really good value.

“pleasant, satisfying and reasonable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2014

No. 9 is one of the few 24/7 restaurants remaining within metro Vancouver, This establishment boasts over 1,000 menu items of both western and Chinese cuisine. Value for the $ is good, where else can 2 persons feed their faces for under $24? Parking is ample and the Canada Line also makes a stop at Lansdowne Centre. During mall hours the street entrance is closed and after mall hours vice versa.

“24/7 Eats”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

No.9 Restaurant is one of Richmond most consistent 24/7 Asian food restaurants. The portions are large and prices are very good. Service is very good and food arrives fast. The menu is large and pictures to match. Everyone I have recommended, have given good feedback.

“3.25 out of 5 - Post Game Snack”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

After the football game the spouse and I decided to go for a late night snack.

We decided to go No. 9 restaurant on Number Three Road.
This restaurant is located in Landsowne shopping mall and is visible from the road even though it is set back from the parking lot and the road.

This is your typical Cantonese restaurant with the usual menu items including rice dishes and noodle dishes (with your choice of noodles including flat rice noodles, chow mein, Chinese spaghetti, vermicelli).

The regular menu has at least 8 pages and then there are also 3 other separate specialty menus including set menus. You can check on-line for the restaurant’s extensive menus.

On this Friday night, we arrived around 11:00 PM and the restaurant was two-thirds occupied.

We were only in a quick meal so we both ordered noodle soup dishes.

The spouse ordered the flat rice noodles with shui kau (meat dumplings similar in shape to gyozas/”potstickers”. The bowl came with 3 dumplings.

I ordered the beef brisket and shui kau with regular chow mein noodles. It only came with 2 dumplings.

The broth was tasty as were the dumplings (which were approximately twice the size of your average wonton).
For a quick meal, it hit the “spot”.

The portion sizes were adequate given we weren’t that hungry.
The service was adequate and the food arrived promptly.

The total for both dishes was $14.49 before tips.

Be advised that this restaurant accepts CASH ONLY.

Good place for a quick snack or a more extensive meal.
I would rate this restaurant as a little above average -3.25 out of 5 stars.

Notes and Tips
This restaurant is open 24 hours.
The Canada Line stops at the mall in front of the restaurant.
Lots of parking.
