“Best for getting rid of jetlag”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

The Seabreeze was our first accomodation in Canada and we couldn't do better to get rid of our jetlag. You have wonderful views to the ocean and to Vancouver island. Although there is no real beach, there is acess to the "beach" promenade directly from the garden.
The breakfast was superb and our host very nice.
The B&B is located ideally when you arrive to Vancouver airport and not want to drive far or drive directly in the city.

We stayed at Seabreeze for 3 nights on our arrival in Vancouver and returned for our last night before our flight home. Cheryl Ann was very welcoming, and helpful, the guest accommodation was spacious with everything you could want, and great value too. The only negative to our room was the pilot light on the gas fire generated an unbelievable amount of heat and we had to sleep with the door open, apart from that a great place to stay.

You'll never want to leave this place, the rooms are amazing but the best part is the view. Looking out into the ocean with the islands and boats crossing is just the most amazing part.

Not only are you saving a lot of money as hotels in Vancouver area are costly, but your getting a wonderful location that no hotel in the area can come close to, only if you willing to pay $500+ can you get a room like this at some of the higher end hotels.

BNB is a separate house to the main house, so you're getting a place to your self if you're the only people in the BNB at the time. So its quite and it feels like your own private house, really nice and we loved the staff friendly and helpful.

The Seabreeze has a separate area for guests that is beautifully furnished. The 3 guest rooms are in a separate wing with a private patio and 20 meters from the dikes where the view of the river estuary is inspiring. There is even a full kitchen for the guests. You can walk along the dike to Steveston which is a very nice community with lots of shops, restaurants etc.

The hostess is very charming and accommodating. The only negative was our room which was very small and right under the guest kitchen. We were awoken shortly past 7AM by the people walking above and closing cupboards, talking etc. There is a bit of peeling paint in the bathroom that I'm sure will be rectified soon to bring it up to the standard of the common area. Breakfast was on the light side... fresh muffins, bottled juice, cereal, yoghurt and coffee.

Room Tip: When reserving avoid the Garden Room. It's quite small and noisy being under the kitchen

By far, this is the best B&B we've stayed at. Excellent location right on the ocean with a walking trail out the back door. Steveston is a walk away and worth the effort. It has an interesting history and fishing boats bring fresh product to the many restaurants lining the shore. Cheryl-Anne and family have designed and decorated a beautiful oasis with a large family room (with fireplace), a separate TV room, a grand balcony overlooking the ocean as well as 3 gorgeous bedrooms. We stayed in the Garden Room which had a large washroom, Queen bed and TV. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. We missed breakfast as had to catch an early flight but will be back to have breakfast next time. Thankyou Cheryl-Anne. Your abode and personality are infectious.

Located about a $30 taxi drive from Vancouver Airport, the Seabreeze Guest House is a great alternative to the typical airport hotel. Situated on a tidal flat, with an extensive walking path along the water and into the town of Steveston, the Seabreeze offers a quiet oasis. There are 3 rooms, 2 with views, along with a sitting room and living room and kitchen. Breakfast is full and healthy with cereal, yogurt, fruit, fresh baked goods and lots of coffee. There are many restaurants in town. I ate at the harbor. Cheryl-Anne is an excellent host - just the right amount of involvement and opportunity for privacy.
