“Airport convenience without the stagging price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2011

If you find yourself overnighting at Vancouver Airport consider this hotel. The free shuttle really does run on time; you can count on it for a quick trip to the airport. The facility is not new, but it has been kept up very well. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is customer focused and very helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for convenience, comfort and value.

We stayed here with our family prior to their flight to England and then a week later before our flight home. Check in was friendly and efficient and our room on both occasions was very clean and spacious, (on the second stay we actually had a balcony!)
The continental breakfast was fine and staff were on hand to keep replacing the food and drink.
As we were returning to the hotel we asked if we could leave a suitcase there which they readily agreed to.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a stopover after or prior to a flight.

We stayed here for one night after arriving on a long haul flight before heading back to the airport to pick up our rental car and continue the journey. Getting the free shuttle to the hotel was mostly straightforward and upon arrival check in was quick and easy. Room was well equipped, good TV, bed and bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was one of the better self serves we had experienced. All in all a simple hotel which perfectly caters for a short stay near the airport.

Clean, quiet, really comfortable beds. Friendly helpful staff, basic but good breakfast. Perfect for a couple of nights to get over our jetlag before picking up our hire RV.

Arrived here Sunday afternoon with my wife after a long flight from London. Upon checking in the only thing I was not asked by the lady receptionist were my inside leg measurements. I thought being a member of the Six Continents Inter Continental Hotel Priority Club removed all the necessity for these almost police type investigations into who you are and what you are. Again these people cater to the lowest common denominator which is we do not believe who you are or what you are etc etc. Leading to this needless interrogation process. I have stayed in Vancouver previously but it was at the Holiday Inn International which I had mistakenly thought this was. More bad news I am afraid was upon entry to our room on the 8th floor. The pillow cases were grubby in fact appeared to be not laundered and definitely not ironed. There were grubby marks on them and in fact had to ask the cleaning lady to replace all 4 pillow cases. However the sheets appeared to be clean as did the duvet. Breakfast was adequate and free but did not make up for the problems encountered. I appreciate these service industries have to be careful in terms of their clientele that is appreciated. All in all not a great experience I'm afraid.

Room Tip: Try the Holiday Inn international just a few blocks away.

Although this hotel is probably used mostly by people who are taking flights out of Vancouver Airport the next morning, it is actually quite a good hotel to stay in when exploring the area. It is quite a distance from Vancouver city centre but if you have a car it's about a half-an-hour trip (if you avoid rush hours!!). There is good public transportation nearby, particularly the Sky Train, which is very clean and safe and avoids the need to pay for downtown parking. The hotel is a pretty typical Holiday Inn with no restaurant, but there is a breakfast area with a good selection.

We had a late flight in to Vancouver and wanted a modestly priced hotel that didn't require us to go downtown. This hotel was very clean with excellent service. Several restaurants within walking distance. Can drive to the nearby casino and take the Sky Train into town.
