Mr. Blackwell has done it again. We spend a lot of time in JA. so I have covered plenty of ground over the years, and Goldeneye has quickly become one our favorite places on the island. All of the villas are beautiful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Beach Villa, and it was incredible. Elegantly decorated, plenty of space, the outdoor shower was fabulous (pressure and hot water can sometimes be an issue in Ja.), oh, and you're approx. 20 steps from the ocean, so the view is unbeatable. Add to the mix, wonderful food, and a fabulous staff, and this is just some of what we love about Goldeneye. My advice, go right to the website and make a reso ASAP !!!

From the moment we went through the discreet entrance this place looked and felt different. Chris Blackwell and his team have hit the spot and the new developments enhance the ambiance and don't detract from the original Goldeneye which we could not get a reservation for when we tried a few years ago. The view from Reception down across the bridge to the resort main island, for that is what it is, was special and our 2 bedroom house was perfect. Stayed with our daughter and son in law and their 3 children. The staff were fantastic with them especially 6 year old Zach, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderfully relaxing with great food.

Yes it isn't cheap but you get what you pay for - secluded comfort and luxury in a beautiful setting. I normally get bitten first so took spray against the Mosquitos and had no problems, they are part of nature and not the hotel's fault after all.

Are we going back - yes next year hopefully, for one of those significant birthday celebrations when we intend to stay in the Ian Fleming house.

My wife and I stayed at Goldeneye for 6 days in May to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We researched many places, but decided on Goldeneye because the whole history of the property and Chris Blackwell's philosophy towards a resort. We couldn't have picked a better place. We stayed at Lagoon Suite 9 and the setting is perfect. The lagoon suites are comfortable, clean and somewhat decadent (outdoor shower, veranda, swim dock right off the bedroom and our own french press coffee make with Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee). The property is immaculately kept and cared for and the service is top notch. The great service started with our driver Laurel who picked us up and the airport and kept us laughing the whole trip to the resort. Clayton the concierge greeted us with a welcoming and relaxed attitude and it kept rolling from there. Dave at watersports was exceptionally patient in teaching my wife (a non-swimmer) how to paddleboard, Troy and the staff were exceptionally friendly at dinner and everyone at the Bizot Bar saw to our food and drink needs with attentive, yet non-instrusive service (don't miss the Black and Blue and Golden Ginger Mojitos). Everyone at Goldeneye made us feel incredibly welcome from Jenny the General Manager to landscapers who would never hesitate to provide you with a smile and a greeting. We even crossed paths with Mr. Blackwell and he took time to greet us and ask us how our stay was. How many resort owners would do that? Goldeneye has it figured out. If you get an opportunity to go, do not pass it up. My wife are already planning a return with the family.

Goldeneye was a truly incredible vacation for us! We were greeted at the front desk with two delicious frozen Goldeneye drinks upon our arrival...which was a great start after traveling all day. Now my husband is not much of a "resort guy", but he can not wait to return to Goldeneye. It's a very relaxed, private resort with very comfortable accommodations. The outdoor shower was quite unique. Our highlights were the morning paddle board rides through the lagoon and our evening swim through the lagoon to the spa where we were greeted with beautiful batik robes before our services. The food was outstanding as was the service and other staff members. I can not say enough about the wonderful experience we had at Goldeneye and we cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: The lagoon rooms are very private and romantic. The rooms on the beach seem to have a little more a...

My husband & I stayed in villa #9 for 5 days/4 nights for a friend's wedding...and we could've happily stayed an entire month. We were very sad to leave. The property is amazing. The staff is beyond friendly & helpful. The food at Bizot & Gazebo is great. There is literally no need to leave the property. Beach, pool, lagoon, water sports, tranquil spots to relax. Goldeneye has it all & we'll definitely go back!

We stayed in a lagoon cottage and loved it. Waking up in the morning and jumping in for a swim was a big highlight.
I was a really big fan of the fact that there are only a certain number of people here at a given time. The garbage places lile sandals where there are close to 1,000 people all fighting for food and beach space and acting like drunk fools....none of that here.
Ran into Chris Blackwell while we were here but didn't want to bother him as he seemed busy.
Food was good, especially loved the club sandwich for lunch.
My only "complaint" is I wish the menu for dinner was a little more broad but I always found something to eat.

GoldenEye is truly incredible in every way. We are well traveled and these were our favorite accommodations hands down. We stayed in both the a lagoon cottage and beach front and discussed over and over which we preferred because they were different but each so perfect. The lagoon cottages are super tranquil... swimming and kayaking right off your porch is simply unforgettable. The private sun deck, hammock, porch. In half a day I felt like I had been on vacation for a week. And walking out to the sand, our beach chairs just steps away from the water at the beachfront it is a dream. The staff are fabulous, food and drink top notch, watersports so easy... The spa is like a vacation unto itself. Rarely does a resort feel like it has such a light footprint on the ecology. GoldenEye is one of those boutique places that is perfect in so many ways without ever trying too hard. Everything is so well planned, laid out and tended to that the staff makes super top notch everything effortless, which as a guest is so greatly appreciated.
