“Perfect B&B for the whole family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

We stayed in the family room at Oxbourne House with our two young children for one night while seeing some theatre in nearby Stratford upon Avon. It was perfect for us. The room was very large with enough beds for all of us, a sitting area, and a very large family bathroom. The room was clean and nicely decorated with everything that we needed. The B&B itself has a lovely sitting room with books and games (perfect for polishing off another bottle of wine while the children slept upstairs) and a garden with chickens (which made the children happy). The owners are the perfect mix of helpful yet not overbearing. The B&B is in a nice village about 15 minutes from Stratford. It houses a wonderful pub called The Peacock within 5 mins walk of the B&B, which has wonderful freshly cooked food suitable for the whole family. We would definitely visit again.

A wonderful stay. We have used this B&B many times and the quality of the rooms, cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere is world class. The breakfasts will set you up for the day too. Convenient to many attractions in Warwickshire and close to Oxfordshire. There is a superb pub (The Peacock) with excellent food in the village and easy walking distance.

Room Tip: We have been in the observatory room and annexe and both are fantastic.

I haven't stayed in that many B&B's but this is by far the nicest. Very welcoming friendly establishment. We were welcomed with tea & cake in the guest sitting room with a roaring wood burner. I thought this bodes well. The breakfast the next morning was also very enjoyable with eggs from the garden and locally sourced bacon & sausage. I would happily stay here again if in the area. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place to stay, the setting was fantastic. The village pub was of a gastro-pub calibre, very tasteful and delicious food, and literally on the doorstep.
We stayed in the annexe which was fantastic because it has its own kitchen and sitting room so we were able to cater for ourselves and had privacy because it has its own separate entrance.
Posy and Graeme were exceptionally hospitable and kind - we had a very friendly welcome on arrival. There is plenty of space to park and plenty to do locally, with several towns within a close drive.
We would definitely recommend to others and would stay again!

Room Tip: We only saw the annexe so didnt see the other rooms but the dining room and sitting room in the main...

We could not have wished for a better place at which to stay for our all-too-short visit to Warwickshire. Posy and Graeme are the perfect hosts and the house is immaculate and supremely comfortable. We would certainly stay there again should the opportunity ever arise and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Fantastic setting.Classy English countryside setting.Couldn't ask for better.Peony and Mac Donald ensured our stay was most memorable.Warm welcome with delicious homemade scones and raspberry preserve was indeed touching.Peony has an eye for detail and went to the extent of hearing my daughter cough and provide me with cough syrup.Home is so well done up and exposes us to a rich English heritage. Very cozy and comfortable.Even their dog Isla is a welcome to interact with and kept my ten year old daughter entertained!Located to an old English Pub Peacock worth a visit to dine.

Must stay once in a life time at least! Will go back soon....
