Friends Wedding. Perfect setting - impressive country house, lovely grounds with deer and great first impression. Lots of huge rooms downstairs, so plenty of space, log fire in one, comfy sofas and chairs.
To get the negatives out of the way first, the room was well furnished with quality furniture including 4-poster bed, but no shower in the bathroom, only a bath, decoration very tired, no TV anywhere in the hotel, no phone in the room to talk to other guests, and NO mobile reception anywhere - supposedly wi-fi in the bar, but hadn't worked for weeks we were told. Didn't spoil the one-night stay, but not what we had expected. Still worth staying over, though!
Wedding perfect. Gorgeous setting in the Orangery, photos in teh grounds, then coming down the impressive staircase with confetti thrown, Wedding breakfast superb, all very well-organised, great staff, all helpful.
Evening buffet equally good, wide selection of food, and breakfast also very good.
Thoroughly recommended as a Wedding Venue, shame about the facilities.
