“Perfect for an overnight stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

Stayed here the night before a 6am flight out of Bristol Airport. No one about when I arrived at gone 9pm but a bell on the desk resolved that.
The room itself isn't in a purpose built block, and a bit Travelodgie, however it was quiet, and perfect really.
The normal Tea and Coffee making facilities were in place
Bathroom (which had quiet an annoying sensor activated light) was a spacious wet room
Minimal toiletries were provided and everything spotlessly clean.
A comfy bed, comfy pillows and little touches like a steam free mirror and complementary Hairdryer AND straighteners most welcome.

I didn't take advantage of the parking arrangements, preferring instead to leave my car at the Airport, but it was offered

Its perfect, and I wouldn't think twice about using their services again.

A 1-night stay before an early flight out from the nearby Bristol Airport. This was the third time we've stayed here, and although, perhaps, not the cheapest "airport" accommodation in the area we have found this to be always friendly and polite, and surprisingly quiet, given the airport's proximity.
Its only a mile or so from the airport, down a narrow, winding road (beware of speeding local drivers coming towards you!). And its not that easy to find, either, which adds to its seclusion.
Leaving the car in the driveway by the long hotel frontage we entered the hotel to a smart, efficient, reception area, from which a corridor leads to a breakfast/dining area, or into a light and airy lounge/TV room.
We were allocated Room 36 (which we'd stayed in previously). This is accessed by cutting through the lounge, and a partly-covered outside area, into a lobby and via a small lift or stairs to the 1st floor. The room is very comfortable, and quiet, though with not very much space for luggage if you need to have to sort clothes out.
Breakfast at 4.30am was no problem, with a perfectly adequate "continental" selection ready for us, and unlimited cups of coffee.
It was now that the hotel really came into its own: one of the staff takes you to the airport no matter what the time of day, to a specific drop/pick-up point. Meanwhile, our car is taken by the hotel staff and left safely in an area away from prying eyes, and made ready for our return whenever that may be. (They ask you to check the car over for scratches, etc... when we pick it up again).
NOTE: At Bristol Airport there is a dedicated, free, hotel phone near the customer help desk, which you can use to request a pick-up from the hotel when you come back from a holiday.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again in the future.

Room Tip: There used to be a problem with the drains, leaving a very unpleasant smell in the lounge. On this v...

We arrived a little early for check in and the staff where so accommodating! They offered us drinks whilst we waited for our rooms and we have a pot of tea and cake in the drawing room which was lovely, from here we where show to our room which was nice and very clean. We were taken to the airport for on £3.5 each and left our car there for only £27 which is far far cheaper than leaving it at the airport. We did have dinner which was overall very nice and again good value. We have previously stayed in some of the other local hotels but this one we will definitely be returning to. Overall a beautiful spot with good food, wine and accommodation! Well be recommending Winford Manor to our friends and family.

Stayed one night and would recommend. Building and grounds look good and have an interesting history, staff were accommodating and helpful and the rooms are modern and clean. We stayed in a good sized room in the 2 story annex - the rooms in the single storey bit did look smaller but still fine for a stopover. Good to see that they are environmentally aware too. This must be the best local hotel, especially for airport access.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the two-storey annex.

We loved our stay at Winford ...great food, lovely rooms, friendly and efficient staff and great value. It's so convenient for the airport and the shuttle service was good. The grounds were beautiful..a great Spring break.

We stayed here for one night before the start of our holiday and we could echo most of the other comments listed here recently. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the rooms were clean, comfortable and warm. The most accommodating things about our stay were the fact that transfers were offered for a really early start at 5:00am and the fact that we could have supper in the restaurant, which gave us a relaxing start to our holiday. We were picked up promptly at the airport after landing at Bristol by another obliging member of the staff. We will definitely stay here again when taking flights from Bristol.

Have just returned home after a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the beds were a 'pleasure' to sleep in after some other beds that I have experienced in other hotels. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff that I dealt with and everyone was very accommodating. Grounds were lovely and considering it is so near a large city centre and a busy airport, you would never have guessed as it was so peaceful. Would definitely stay there again!
