“Must stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

Very nice, small hotel with only a couple of rooms. The rooms are very clean and quiet, everything is new and the beds are huge and very comfortable with different pillows. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The food is awesome! The breakfast includes home-made jam, regional cheeses and ham. You definitely also need to try one of their trout specialities, probably the freshest fish I ever ate! The Sauna & Spa area is beautiful, small but clean and with lots of cosy details. The hotel has a large park area with hot tubes and hammocks.Wifi is for free.
If you plan to go to Ballon d´Alsace then you need to stay there!

nice small hotel on the road to the "ballon d'alsace". Good food - be sure to taste a superb trout - very nice, quiet rooms - outstanding quality and service - an address to remember and to recommend - private parking area - when visiting the weather was not so good but on a sunny day the garden with several ponds will be lovely

For the second time I stayed this year in Le Saut de la Truite and I will come back more often!
Very nice situated at a little park with ponds in a beautiful atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable and wellness area more than relaxing. The food is great especially the Truite of course and also the breakfast with lovely home made marmalade. A place to remember!

I don't usually post on tripadvisor, but was inspired to do so because this hotel is so lovely. It is in a beautiful location near the mountains. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated with large comfortable beds. It has outdoor nordic baths with wonderful views. The food is great - most of it is grown and cooked on site, or sourced locally. The trout is straight from the trout pond to your plate - very fresh. The owners are friendly and accomodating. We were there for an international triathlon and the owners happily arranged an early breakfast (6am) and offered to cook a special meal for my husband the night before his race. Nothing was too much trouble. We would love to go back someday!

Small, good and quiet place; excellent service. Restfull location and lots of wellness possibilities (sauna, hamam, hot tub etc.). Breakfast and dinner are very well (for dinner you have to like Trout as there is not much more on the menu). Good price for all of this.

Room Tip: Downstair room is very good.

This out of the way small hotel is being developed by its owners in a way which compliments its environment. The staff where lovely and welcoming. The rooms spacious, decorated individually and with big comfy beds. Super spa area with sauna, steam room and outdoor jacuzzi. As the name suggests there are trout ponds in the garden and this is the speciality of their resturant, the food was excellent only critism was that the main course menu could haver done with alternatives to trout! However a really nice place which is great value for money.

Room Tip: Go for the premier rooms they are lovely
