Pros: location, clean pool albeit small, the woman at check-in (great service), parking,
Cons: room I had, costs
The location is walking distance of most things and even though its on the California side, literally across the street is Nevada thus gaming is available very close by- Harvey's and Harrah's the two main ones.
I saw on hotels.com this room was available and I was already in town. I called and got the room for almost 100.00 including everything. The room/accommodation should be around 60 per night. From the reviews it seems there are different rooms because mine didn't have a fridge or other amenities the other reviewers talked about. The smell in the room was beyond musty. The door handle going into the room was obviously busted at some point. The TV is an RCA tube, the furnishings, as well as paintings, are VERY old school.
The woman at the desk at check-in was soooooo nice and genuinely helped me out in terms of getting acclimated to the town.
Would I stay here again? Probably not. One thing to keep in mind, prices around Lake Tahoe are not really cheap and you will likely find more of the same type of accomodation for the same price. The rooms are quite big relative to other hotels.
