Never again will i stay there again! The husband/manager was a total jerk. We were late arrivals and we had an 11 and 12 yr old with us and we were accused, by our nghbors, of being loud all night. The husband didnt even give us a chance to talk. In the parking lot he was yelling and cussing at us and in the office also. I started to cry because I could not believe how we were treated as paying customers. The wife really didnt say much she was trying to be considerate but I could tell that she doesnt have a say. We had planned on staying there 2 nights, but that changed. On a busy weekend and last minute we were put in a bind. Very disappointed i guess there other customers were more valuable, but they lost us plus every one we know....

This hotel is an outstanding value. It's location is ideally situated on Stateline Blvd on the friendly California Side, right across the street from Harvey's Casino on the Nevada side. The room was well appointed with a small fridge, microwave oven, premium shampoo and soaps too. The room was very clean and well maintained and the pool was awesome the kids loved it. The folks that run the place couldn't have been nicer, they had a nice BBQ grill for guests by the pool, so we grilled up steaks and baked potatoes one night and saved a bundle over going out to eat at the steakhouse. We will stay here again!

Management was really awesome. Great location right across the street from Harveys. The rooms have nice paintings on the wall, they have lots of cool little freebie sample stuff. The pool is like a giant hot tub in the spring time. They have it cranked up for the cool spring Tahoe days. It snowed on Memorial weekend here in South Lake. It's a short walk to the Gondola at Heavenly and all the shops. Nice Barbecue Grills up on the deck and over by the pool for grilling out.

Great location

We have been coming up to South Lake Tahoe for 10 years & always HAD a pleasant experience staying at The Capri until the new management recently took over. We were charged $165 for 1 night, which completely baffled us as we had always paid close to $80 or less. We came to find that the couple staying in the EXCACT same room 1 floor below us were paying $80 night on a non-reserved room!! The lady at the front desk (the new manager) said she charged us so much b/c there was a concert at Harvey's casino that night & she had the right to charge us that much! She was very rude & confrontational. The motel right across the street was charging $65 per night with a kitchen! We should have stayed there! I hate being ripped off. The new manager ruined our once pleasant motel experience. We will never stay there again.
