When we first arrived on Friday (My fiance and I) the owner was very nice, helped us get all checked in and we thought it was a very cute place. She told us how they had just taken over and even told a story about how they've learned to scan people better since someone broke a window and got charged and then was upset. But getting charged for something like that is understandable. The room was cute, nice, and warm, the heater worked very well. Everything was fine execpt there was no fridge, which we were expecting, the walls are paper thin, and the sink was having trouble draining. The hotel is conveniently located right across from Harveys which was nice because we didnt have to worry about a long walk or cabs. By Sunday morning the sink would no longer drain. We didnt wash anything but water down it. I mentioned that we should say something but my fiance just said to leave water in it so that they know its clogged. BIG mistake. What we should have done was told them right away that it was having trouble draining and maybe even taken a picture. Once we were settled back at home, my fiance noticed a $100 charge for clogged drain. I called the owner to talk about the incident and explained that it had been having trouble since we got there. She immediately got defensive and called me a liar. She said we must have gone to the bathroom in it or puked in it? I'm asumming she thought this because my fiance drinks beer and we left a few beer bottles in the trash? Or its because we are younger and shes just discriminating? Not sure but it was rude. So unprofessional I couldn't believe it! Her husband was also being rude in the background on the phone yelling about how he cleaned it up and it was disgusting. Yes this was definitely a learning experience for us but I just hate being acussed of something that we didn't cause! We are good people. If the owner would have said we understand you may not have caused it but because you didnt come to us right away we still have to charge you, in a nice calm voice then I probably wouldnt be writing this review. She made me feel like a horrible person which is unfair. Hope you all take our mistakes in to consideration when you stay here!
